K2 sizing

There are two different ways of measuring skis. One is by height, and one is by the length of the base (which is longer than the height of the ski because the tip and tail curve.) K2 measures the length of the base.

No, K2 measuers the Public Enemy and the Fujatives as ski length. The Seth Vicious and Made'n AK's are measured using running length, and are a little longer than the advertised length if you compared to another 189 ski.

you're fine. the 179 PE has a running edge of about 157cm. whoever said the 189 runs more like a 190something has it backwards. the length is measured tip-to-tail, not running surface. don't believe me? fine, go measure your skis- maybe mine are a freak accident (i have first year PEs, SPs, and SVs and they are consistantly like this).

I've heard so many different things. I heard the tip to tail thing. I've heard the running length. I've heard everybody does running length. I dunno what to think

why don't you measure your skis and find out for yourself? because that would make sense and things that make sense don't happen here on NS?

it is a rumor they run the same as all skis, but for me at least my 179 pe's feel huge and im 5 10

My chronics are 177cm and they are really about 175-174cm while my friends fuji's are 169 supposed to be but they are 171's
