K2 silencers

Several threads on these, theyr shit all mountain but a cheap ski thats got nice bang for the buck, i like em cuz theyr light enough and still kinda stiff so i got em just to beat on em, but no good all mountain

Silencers are my current jig ski because I got them ex-demo ridiculously cheap. It's a typical K2, dead, lifeless, no pop. The handle groomers alright. Pretty durable though, I've got a few cracks but nothing major and the topsheet is holding up.

dead and lifeless?!? are you kidding? that ski has more pop than just about any ski ive ever ridden.

ive been on 2 pairs for the past 2 seasons. all mountain, they ski fairly shitty. the capped construction really chatters quite noticeably. and with a true center mount, they just dont ski that well.

HOWEVER, in the park, i freakin LOVE them. a lil too stiff when new, but once you break them in, they soften up, but still have huge amounts of pop. really fun to butter on, as they just like explode when you unweight them. they are great on jumps as well, poppy and stable.

the only thing i could complain about, is the weight. compaired to many 180cm skis, they are a bit heavy. takes a lil extra muscle to whip around 270s on smaller stuff. but overall its not too much of a problem.

im 5'10". 155lbs on the 179.

Well, I couldn't agree less. Virtually no ollie power in them. I've skied pretty much everything out there and I don't care for the Silencer much at all. Same goes for PE's in my opinion. Most overrated ski, ever.

But for $80 I can't argue. They've held up alright.

Yeah i got em, thats why i am k2_silenced. I like em alot but maybe thats becuase theyre my first and only twintip ski. the graphics although controversial are good. I dont think guns promote violence its just that people think they do

yeah i've skied a few pairs of k2's and they're all real dead compared to lines and salomons.

i would have to agree. my pes were stiff, heavy, and sluggish. i ride invaders now and they are the best ski i have been on besides my 1260s which were 153s and got too small. they had so much pop it was unbeleivable.
