any body ride them? you like? how might they compare to the fugis ot PE? i know they're not as wide, but lets talk in terms of pop and flex.

thanks.

Yay... Solid ski for its price. Not as soft as the fujas but not super stiff like the PEs. You can pretty much charge down from the top of the mountain and into the park.

talked to a K2 rep and said silencers are just out of the old PE molds, like how a sprayer was out of the old scratch molds

I ride them as my 100% jib ski. Just small jumps on them, but mostly rails. They are NOT a soft ski at all, like most people seem to think for some reason (they've obviously never skied them or even flexed them in a shop). They're only slightly softer than a PE. Very even flex through the ski - DEFINITELY stiffer at the tip and tail than an AR6, Troublemaker, Scratch FS or STL. The closest thing to them I've skied is a Mojo 80.

Anyway, for me I bought them as a rail ski because I got them as ex-demos ridiculously cheap and I really don't care how my jib skied actually ski. But they're the same dimensions as the old PE's so they do ski pretty nicely on groomers and they're solid landing kickers. They're stiff enough to hold a decent edge but being a K2 ski there's not a lot of pop to them. Still, I'm very happy with them given I got them cheap and they're poppy enough for me on rails.

For reference, I ride 179s at running length centre, I'm 6'4 and 185lbs and work in shops so I've skied pretty much everything out there.

BTW,

I don't think there was a change from last years model to this years except for graphics. You are better off picking up the last years model for less than $200 than picking up this years to $300.

HAHAHAHAHA you think the PE's are super stiff. those things are not stiff, and the fujas are just too noodly to do anything but park. you need to ride some different skis, and then re-think stiff.

You've been misinformed. These are a bit stiffer than my A6r's-not noodly by any means. They seem like a pretty solid ski. I would have gotten a pair, but the largest size they had was like a 169-typical for a shop that caters to a majority of race product.

i got some silencers last year there real flexy for me u can butter like crazy on them but just stiff enough to hold and edge ae if u get them about 2cm off centre they work gr8 as an all round ski really

I ride the 179's for my park ski and if your looking for a ski to beat on theyr your pair. Just a cheap fun light pair of skis that rides well in park, if your lookin for more of an all mountain id say nay, but as a park ski yay

i'm pretty sure he meant stiff in the context of other twins, in which case he's quite right, pe's are stiffer than almost any other
