K2 Silencer or Extreme?

I want to get a pair of twin tip skis but i dont know what to get. Ive narrowed it down to K2 Silencer 10/11, Extreme 09/10 and Extreme 08/09. The main reasons are because i can get these for cheap prices as i dont really have alot of money and cant afford anything more expensive than these. I am only really just starting freestyle, ive hit jumps and rails sideways before. Im probaly only going to go skiing around a week a year, but i will use them at indoor real snow ski slopes. In that respect im guessing the silencers are better for me, i just want an opinion from someone with more experience than me :D
The prices are:Silencer - £199, in american that is roughly $305 :PExtreme 08/09 - £199, " "Extreme 09/10 - £330, roughly equal to $505(By the way, the Extreme 09/10 come with marker schizo bindings)
Thanks dudes :)

expect the k2 extreme's topsheet to start peeling and the sidewalls to chip, i had 08/09 extremes and this started the first time i strapped them on my feet. they fixed the problem on the 10/11 silencers so i would go with them

my disorderlys chipped a lot too. But the important parts of the ski; base and edges; are perfectly fine. Actually the bases has a few hits to it, but thats what i get for grinding all sorts of weird stuff.

ill second this. and i havent had any problems with my topsheet other than minor stuff. no major cracking or anything serious. also, k2 is really good with having bomber edges, bases, sidewalls. I throw my ski around and its still in great condition

Silencers are a lower price point ski, and I've heard their flex is pretty mushy, with not much energy in them, as well as durability issues. The Extreme, on the other hand, is a tank, and a good ski.

Extreme has five milimeters more in the waist, higher quality base material and urethane ABS hybrid sidewalls. The Silencer is far from being pretty mushy though. They are a snappy stiffer tailed all wood core ski that you can beat to death and they still ski good for you. We offer it at that price because we know not everybody can dish out a giant wad of cash for a decent set of skis. I know, because I was once in that same situation.
I was at Stevens Pass last year in the Spring and after shredding some late pow stashes we went down to watch the Big Air at the base. One kid that stood out was still shredding some first year Silencers. This was four years after they came out! Another dude was killing it on the old PTex PEs. I was stoked to see that because you know they crush it those same skis all the time and everybody else was on new skis from other companies. I thought that spoke well to the durability of both.

I've used both and thrashed them as much as I could. I just liked having an extra little bit underfoot on the Extremes once it got soft or beat up. But both have thicker bases and edges.
