K2 Shreditor 92 vs. Armada BDOG

Sup NSers,

I'm torn between the Shreditor 92 and the B-Dog. I ski in the east coast and i ride 70% park 30% mountain, woods, etc. I want something that could hold up good when landing switch on jumps but also be soft for presses and such. Also, i would like something very durable, i know the bdog has the 2.5 Impact Edge and the shreditor is provided with "screws" that adds the durability to the tip and tail. I'd also prefer the lightest of those two.

As always, +k for helpful answers.

Thanks a lot!

Armada has very good durability, my AR7's have lasted a very long time even though I abuse them. Edges and bases are very good (make sure you detune your edges though) and their S7 base is still fast even if it is not waxed. The tips and tails are also solid no signs of any chance of them splitting/delaming.

As for the K2's they seem pretty decent as well, a few friends of mine own them and they seem to be in pretty decent shape. The bolts in the tips and tails really seem to be a hit and a miss to be completely honest. On one of my friends K2 Domains some of the bolts just fell out. Also the K2's seem quite heavy.

IMO I would just go for which ever one I could find on special or cheaper as they're both great skis.

Having skied both k2s and armadas and its hard to beat k2 on durability. Armadas are a bit lighter. K2s flex's usualLy seem softer but more consistent, no weird hinge points.

shreditors are lighter

The shreditor 92 has the taper start closer to the tip/tail, compared to the rest of 2015 shreditor line up. Much like the 102 from last year, which was basically a kung fujas with 10cm earlier taper and a re-tagged name. This 92 just looks like a mini version of that.

Looks fun. Its stiffer than the 102 though.

If you want the b dog then you should go with a halo 2, it is basically the same ski and you could get it for cheaper.

IMO, if they were both about equal price, i would go for B-Dogs. They are much lighter(K2's are made of lead), have very comparable durability and are flexier. But if you go for the B-Dogs, get them long as the tail is extremely flexy and could washout on switch landings.

I am currently skiing on shredditor 92's at the moment and they are amazing. All mountain they can hold a very good edge. I live in NZ and the snow is generally very icy and still hold a very good edge. As far as park goes they are pretty good ski, not as playful as the armadas but landings from jumps and rails are perfect not flexing out, nothing. All round a very good ski very happy with my pair.

id say that they both of same quality ish. shreditor is fucking soft tho. prolly a bit lighter as well. if you like to go fast and you know how to press the shit out of a ski the armadas would be your best choice. if youre lazy and just wanna fuck around go with the k2s

if anyone is wondering i compared the edge size of the two at a shop and there is no difference, or none that i could see.

anyways...

how are the shreditors on rails? Are they quick edge to edge for switch ups/spins off? And do they really feel that THAT heavy when u ski them? I held a pair and they didnt seem that bad? + k for answers!

Sometimes it's more of a swingweight difference than the actually weight of the ski.

swing weight didn't feel too bad, but I guess its different when ur actually skiing them.
