OK, I am deciding on my ski for next year and I think it is down to the K2 Seth model. I am not sure if I should go with last years model or this years. I will want it to ski pow very well and charge hard, but I need to be able to hold up in the park on big, hardpacked jumps and rails. I also want it to be able to keep up with friends while ripping the occasional groomer.

Give me help. Here are the 2 skis:

now THAT is how you make a "which ski for me" thread. + karma and props

but i would say the 08 seth only because you have interest in jumps.. they would be better on rails aswell id you are planning on doing that...

also, theyre cheaper!

considering you mentioned park go with the 08 seths. I own a pair and they're OK in the park, what you'd expect from a ski with 98mm waist, but a LOT better than the new seth. Plus they rip in everything else you mentioned.

Go 07-08 Seths. Better for park, a tad lighter and cheaper since they are last year's ski. You will like them.

last years man, they are so much fun in anything, and just smash threw crud and are fun on rails

I rode the 08 in the park this year. I loved the ski for everything but park, I thought it was too heavy/stiff for park.
