K2 Seth Vicious .. Decent all mountain? or the Line Motherships?

yeah, the SV is a great everyday ski. Go long and mount foward.

Mothership is a good ski, as well. Everyline I've ever owned fell apart really quickly. They maybe fine for some people, but they just aren't that durable IMO.

what size are you and where would you be skiing?

depends on the size.

I went +4 on my 189. I like it. Little bit of tip dive, but overall they ski great.

On the 179, I would go +3.

If your 6' dont get the 179. go with the 189 and mount +4.

189 are easy to handle and much better at speed than the 179.

I guess if you plan on spending a fair amount of time in the park get the 179, but as far as all mountain skiing the 189 is just more stable, stiffer, IMO better.

Yeah, +2 - +3 sounds good.

If you plan on skiing a fair amount of pow, go +2.

If you think it will be more everyday use, go +3.

dunno. never skied the karma.

But most people I've talked to who have skied the karma say it is just so so.

also, why would you want something so skinny?

yea i use the vicious' as an every day ski, park and powder i mounted em +8 tho kuz use them alot in the park

i want something that skinny cuz im on the east coast...but i make a trip to montana this year..so i want something half decent in pow hence the karam

how do the SV's ski switch....as the new sidecut seems to be set up for going regular...does it hinder the switch ability?

fuckin sweet dude. i wondered that too before i rode em when i heard about the new sidecut but i like riding them switch over my fujas. the SV rocks everywhere man. love it in the park sooo much fun. sick flex pattern too.

fuck that

mothersips are wayy bettter all mountian

Svs are nice but last year's and this years motherships areeeee tight

if possible get last years

i rode the motherships last year and i gotta say it wasn't my fav. i deffinently liked the seth pistols better, but i have haven't ridden the SV's

Moship better than SV all mountain? Are you joking? Maybe you are thinking of Moship Ti which is replaced by the Prophet 100 (new ski but replacing Ti in lineup). Moship is a noodle compared to SV which is soft itself.

Since you are east coast and coming west once per year you probably want something thiner and stiffer like a Karma. SV you may find too big for every day use over there. Moship too much of a noodle for EC hardpack.

have you skiied this yrs moships? i have and they arent soft. well they are in the tips, but in thge tails they are SOOO stable.

i heard the seth vicious is the sweetest ski ever made...

but the line motherships are supposed to be sweet too

dunno

both r good choices

yeah, for sure i ve tried my friends for a couple of runs, and they have so much sidecut you can carve almost anything.

I own this years motherships and love them also, they are light for their size and i love the flex pattern. the tail bends like crazy so butters are really fun

both are great skis in and out of the park

Moships are really soft, I've never skied them so I can't talk but they flex really soft. Line has really good durability, and even if you manage to break them you can easily get them warrantied, you must have got a defective pair. I'll admit that lately line's had some problems with moving shit to asia.
