K2 Revival VS K2 Domain

I think you made this in the wrong section. And thats a pretty general, and opinionated question. You either go symmetrical and softer, or directional and stiff with slightly different dimensions.
 
more rails than jumps and some all mtn, but not a lot= domain

More jumps and all mtn with sacrificing a bit for rails= Revival
 
Domain - Symmetrical, Jib Rocker, poppy, low swing weight, good a carving forward and switch, awesome on rails, can still handle jumps.

Revival - Asymmetrical, Jib Rocker, more jump specific, poppy, awesome at carving forward, but better at carving forward than switch, decent on rails.

Personally, I think the Domain is the better pick (plus it's cheaper), because it can kill it on rails and off jumps, however if you don't like symmetrical skis (some people prefer asymmetrical skis) then go with the Revival.
 
I feel like that jib rocker would be better on a symmetrical ski anyway. I'd say domains Symmetrical skis hardly carve worse than directional skis. In fact, I like it better (i'm on disorderlys).
 
I dare say that the Domain is a very strong candidate for my next park ski, looks like k2 did a good job with it. I'm very excited about trying a pair of rockered park skis.
 
They're about the same in actual weight, the Revival is a little bit lighter, but the Domain has lower swing weight (so they can spin easier).
 
actual weight is throw it on a scale and thats how much it weighs. Swing weight has to do with the way the weight is distributed throughout the ski. Swing weight affects spinning to some extent since if you have more weight towards one side of the ski, it's center of rotation is not at the geometric center of the ski. Rocker will affect your swing weight a tiny bit too.

 
I can assure you there is a difference. Symmetrical skis are more balanced and have lower swing weight making switch-ups and spins on and off rails easier, rockered park skis offer more control during presses, and help prevent edges from catching, and different shapes and designs have different weights on rails and can change the way you grip the rail with your edge. The differences aren't major, but they are noticeable at first.
 
I hear what your saying but its not really that big of a difference. Swing weight counts for the whole ski not just rails.
 
The new Revival is so sick man. We just got them in and I just put em up for sale. They are a true park ski and we all know we're gonna see it on the X Games podium with the K2 Factory Team.

Love the design too
 
i am getting more and more mad about finding my skis for this season. I had afterbangs in 166 and i like them but i want longer ski. I am 5'8". I was thinking about getting the new abangs in 177, but i'm thinking to go with something else maybe. I was already leaning towards the K2 domains only to find the sizes are 169 and 179. 169 would probably be too short as i noticed with abangs, and 179 would be probably a little to long.
would you guys recommend me getting the abangs again since i liked them, or the domains in 169?? thanks
