Currently looking for an ideal 100% park set up. I don't have a local

shop because cuz I am three hours + away from snow and stopped by a local

any mountain. They were selling 2014 k2 recoils for $300 for a 169. Are

the recoils any good. Searched a couple threads but didnt find them that helpful. I found they are a lil

stiff/ so are 169s too stiff to be playfulI for me. hit 65%rails/boxes and 35% 15-30

footers. 19 yrs old and 5'8 155. I ski PE 166's currently.

thanks for the input

I currently am riding a recoil 179 and love them! They for me are a perfect jump ski, and are great on rails. They are fairly stiff, and not as playful as a flexier ski would be, but they still are fairly playful and great on rails. I ski about 60/70% rails and 40/30% jumps 15-60ish feet. These skis are very very durable as well.

I swooped the 12-13 last year for 250$ and it was most definitely worth it.. They are stiff but still super playful you can ollie and press if you really initiate it. The stiffness allows stability on jumps and charging downhill. Get 'em on a groomer and they carve like no other. Great ski imo

I've had Recoil's for the last 2 years.. Great skis but yes they are stiff and hard to learn butters on... I hit mostly jumps so they are perfect for me but my side wall is now blowing out. But hey, it's the 3rd season them... I am 5'11 like 160ibs and i have 179's. I am looking to get something a little more soft tho now. I like the width so I am looking to go with Nordica OMW or Armada Halo 2's....

I'm skiing the recoils and think they're pretty good. A little too stiff and heavy for me but they are pretty solid. Great for carving! I'm thinking of selling them but only cause I want a pair of light and buttery skis.
