K2 reckoner durability

Looking to get some 23 reckoner 102s. Got a good price on them, just waiting to pull the trigger. Are they going to last me even if I ski majority park? And does anyone know whether the new ones are being reconstructed and whether I should wait for those instead?

I had the first reckoner 102s that came out. They lasted 2 seasons and look rough today but work as street skis very well. They arent the most beefy ski out there but lasted 2 seasons of mostly rails kinda fine

Top sheets chip easily and delaminate but can be repaired effectively with West Systems G Flex Epoxy. Bases and edges seem pretty strong. I know a bunch of people have snapped them or collapsed sidewalls and stuff. Be sure to detune heavily to prolong edge life.

Bought mine February -21 and last season I only skied like a month before destroying my acl. The sidewall and edge is now totally wrecked under boot. Other than that, perfect condition. Do kinda alot rails and I’m a heavy rider. Also thinking that maybe wider skis break easier on rails because of the force/leverage of the wide base when landing on edges first to the rail?

Now about to buy new skis and thinking if I should go for poacher? Still keened on wider skis though and revolt 104 is also interesting. Can anyone compare durability between poacher, revolt 104 and reckoner 102?

While I’ve seen a few people who have been able to have their 102’s last.. myself and many others have had bad experiences.

i bought a pair of reckoners last season and had a ton of fun on them, easily one of my favorite skis ever made. However, after 2 weeks of mellow park skiing, they delaminated really, really bad. I was able to get them warranties and the same thing happened, twice.

IMO I would stay away, even with a good deal, Is it worth it to only have them for a season?
