im deciding between the line chronics or the public enemys i want an all mountain ski and a solid powder ski, i was thinking about the prophet 80 but the smallest size they make is a 166 and im not big enought for that (5'6 150 lbs.) but i work at a ski shop and I can get a good deal so im deff getting a pair.

your easily big enough for the 166 and even the 170. im 10 lbs heavier than you and ride a 179.

i should be riding 163 top in a ski and with twin tips you go can go shorter becuase of how wide they are, but where did you learn this?

I could go either. I myself took public enemies cuz of the abs sidewall and double thick edge. I think you could basically just go for whatevers less expensve. I know the 06 chronics are like 400 now. The public enemies are about $400 too but on ebay once in a while you can find an auction ending soon with little bids on it. I got mine for $280 shipped. AMAZING

o yea you should be sking a 170ish. Im equal size and i ski the 169 pes

i'm just barely 5'7", and i feel like my 167s are a little short. try a longer ski, i bet you'll like it.

what kind of shop do you work in?? is it race oriented? 163 is wicked short.

you dont want a shorter ski because they are a twin tip, you want a longer ski because you lose running surface with the second tip

anywho, ive been riding my public enemies a good bit so far this season and only 1 edge crack to show from rails (opposed to about 3 inches of missing edge from my AR5s after the same amount of use)

a 174 PE would be a good length for you, mount it +3 or +4 and you're golden for all mountain

and you are quite heavy for someone whose 5'6" so you could easily handle a 170-175. i mean im 6' but only 10lbs heavier and my 179s are great in park and for all mtn i'd go longer.

get 169 Public Enemys. Im the same height as you but only 120 pounds and ride the 174 Foils. Since the PE's are heavier its good to go a few cm shorter than recomended. And since your heavier than me you should be able to easily handle a 169 ski

haha, no one learned this, everyone just does it, ur skis should be at least at the top of your head if not taller. Where did u hear that? a ski shop i bet, they don't know shit about twin tips

what a coincidence, im 10 pounds heavier and i ride 179's 2, just thought id throw that out there

no matter what ppl say it is not gonna make a difference on how the skis feel to you.. so skiing them would be the only true way to know what is better for you... but for me i prefer the chronics
