K2 Press

Hey guys, I recently broke my 10/11 silencers, and I'm looking for a cheap pair of skis that still perform well. I'd like to stay with K2, thats why I am considering the press. Any other suggestions as well as reviews for the press?

anything besides those silencers will do, although i had a pair back in 09, my overall experience with them was that they handled poorly, were built poorly, and were litterally the crappiest skis i ever rode, within 2 weeks of buying them i had delamination problems in more then one spot. Pick up some K2 recoils off evo theyr on sale and theyr fuckin bombproof you will not be disappointed

sry bout the spelling im on my phone

I have the 2012 presses and i love them! fun, lightweight, playful ski that actually carves pretty well on the groomers considering it is flexy. I would highly recommend them!

I have the K2 Press skis, I am not sure what year, they are black and white with neon yellow bases. In my opinion they are good skis for the price. They are super flexy and fun to ride, decent quality. For the $299 price tag i like them. Hope this helps.

i fucking love k2, the topsheets might not be the most durable, but who really gives a fuck. the bases and edges are bomb proof on the recoil, and the domains are a good park ski but can also take some turns outside the park!

spark notes:

- get the recoil or domain

Ive been on my press's for 11 days and the base is beat up under the boot and the topsheet is chiping and i can almost conpletely see the edge, other then that, i like them and they are fun skis, but the durability just isnt there

A friend of mine has them. He likes them. They are light, playful/buttery. They are awful in pow (what you would expect from a ski that size). They top sheet is not very durable. But that doesnt really matter. I would say they're a fun park/dick around ski but not anything you can charge with.

Assuming you're on a tight budget, but the presses are a very beginner ski and if you're a better skiier would be well worth to get some domains.

Just got off my domains from an urban sesh, god I love them. I've never felt more confident popping off of lips thanks to the great flex, plus the flat camber makes things like setting an edge on the rail, swapping, or shuffling landings that much easier. The symmetry makes balancing on rails so easy, and spinning very comfortable. Durability has been good to with only a few edge cracks but zero tears so fot. I hit some 40+ jumps recently as well and was surprised by how well they handled, in terms of jumps, as long as you're only throwing relaxed stuff, and not going absolutely crazy they are very good. If the length of this text is any indication, I really like the domains.

how the hell do you loose a ski? i had a friend loose a ski up in brackett basin, took us hours to find. was like 30 feet away from the crash and in like 2-3 feet of powder.

well , it's my brothers , but he had a broken braker and he went to pee.

the ski was planted in the snow vertically and some gapper knocked it off , it went flying down the park hit the second jump in the line (the biggest one) and It went in the woods. We spent a good amount of time looking for it but the lifts were going to close and we had to go.We came back the next morning and really , it was just impossible to find. I'd go looking for it now that summer is basically here but I live in QC
