K2 PE 03 Delamination

My 2003 PE's I bought a few months ago are delaminating really bad(mainly around the edges from my bindings all the way to the front tip). They're so bad that I can actually see the fiber weaves on the edges of my skis now. What's up w/ that? Are skis supposed to do that? I don't abuse them and I don't 'cross' my skis to make them chip/slice. I'm just wondering if anyone else had this problems w/ the PE's and if they would be under warranty?

idk. put another topsheet on ur planks. my friend did that and said it works good. i might do it to mine. look in ski shops r online.

 
Uh... Did you take out the rivets for some inexplicable reason? You might be able to warrantee them, Not sure.

FYI, though, you SHOULD be crossing your skis. Why would you not throw a mute in once in a while?

 
i got the 04/05 PES and ive skied on em 4 times and they already are delaming. i dont care tho cuz it doesnt effect how they ride.

Well he said 'delaminating' so i assumed he meant 'delaminating'. In retrospect I don't think I've ever delamed a ski from hitting them together while crossing them. Eh, whatever. This is kinda surprising though, Considering the rivets and everything, I'd have thought the PEs would be fairly delam-proof.

 
Yeah really, its just the top sheet. If it isn't ugly, it isnt well used.

^ and ur retarded, lol, well one of my rivets popped out and it holds up just fine still, but u could get a shop to fone K2

Dude, post a picture of that. If it is as bad as you claim, it is the fault of K2 and you have yourself another pair of skis. I personally have heard not one single incident of any PE 'delaming'. This is why I am so curious to see your example. -schmies

 
mine are all peeling off the sides and i've used them twice, i'm gonna bring them to the shop and see if anything can be done...

I have 1260's and i can see the fiber weaves where the top it sticking out in the middle where the binding is. Also, the edges are bumped up and starting to crack.
