- Definitely not designed for the park

Also is the obesthed Heavy?

- No heavier than other skis that size

Is the obesthed good in powder?

- Yes

Can it land switch in powder?

- Yes

How mych rocker does it have?

- 10/20

This is not the ideal ski if you want something to do everything

- If you live somewhere that gets plenty of snow and you are going to ski heaps of pow, then it's great

If you don't get much powder and want to carve groomers and hit the park, then it's not the best choice.

Get something narrower, normal camber

If you want K2 and still like a wider ski then check the Kung Fujas out

This depends on where you are skiing, and realistically how much park/pow skiing you will be doing - so give up that info and people will be able to help

Basically it's almost impossible to find a ski that performs equally as well in the park, hard groomed snow and in powder

The Obsethed are an amazing ski by the way - if you've already bought them, then great and you'll have fun, but they won't be the easiest things to play with in the park

i see your from whistler. all i can say is the obsethed is "the whistler ski". pow its insane, crud is unbelieveable truely, park is so much fun ( like a mini hellbent if ur into that), groomers they rail except like sheet ice but we all know that we dont get ice in whistler other than the bottom of the mountain and well i dont know what else u do. yeh theyll go switch in pow cos they have a fat, soft rockered tail, i swear if ur droppin stuff like half the waterfall atm (just guessing by ur size no offense), u will drop the waterfall tomorrow on the obsethed.. and easily, soooooo good for stomping cliffs, youll probs like backflip it or someshit with a nose buttered landing. who knows?

I skied a day in the 09 Obsethed's and I would say they are definitely much heavier than another ski that size. I ski 166 Foils, and when I was skiing the 169 Obsetheds I felt like I had logs strapped to my feet. But I must say they did absolutely kill in it the powder and the crud, definitely a fun ski in the right conditions.

When you say you skied a day... did they have demo bindngs? Because the obSETHed are not heavy. They are very light for how big they are.

They aren't heavier than other skis that size. The reason you experienced what you did is because of what you ski regularly. Foils are made with a cell foam core as opposed to a wood core like the obsetheds have. That and obsetheds are a decent size bigger than those foils so that also added weight that you aren't used to.

I tried them out the 169s two days ago on Whistler. I'm the same size as you. I was cruising around the Peak chair, Red, and Emerald.

They are adequate on groomed snow. They are quite stable in crud even though the tips are flopping around. I didn't try them out in powder. Buttering and skiing switch is easy. I find my 174cm Guns lighter and easier to use (more fun in the park, groomers, bumps) but I bet the Obsetheds would be a bit better powder.
