K2 minigolf?

yeaI have a poster that says it can go down march 1st to april 15th whenever condishions are ideal
 
yup, once there is a big dump with good weather to follow during that time period. all the athletes will be on call and ready
 
I would think C.R. got bumped off and one of the alternates got the call. THere were a ton of alternates.
 
i would def like to see more shit like this, but with the snow being variable i bet it would be tough to have more then a few of these ma fuckas
 
No plans for rails in the event, we want to foicus more on technical lines, cornices, cliff drops and booters.

B.C. has been getting their share of really good snow lately so we are all stoked. Shane Szocs has been instrumental in this event with his knowledge of the Whistler backcountry. He reports that everything is filling up just fine.
 
can't wait for this event to go down. sounds like it will kick ass if it actually happens. hopefully mother nature will grace Whistler with the white stuff during that time period.

Are there plans to let the public know where this is going down? So we could possibly make the trek out to watch? Cause that would be pretty sick.
 
I want to know how the hell you have a backcountry comp and then make SETH MORRISON and alternate!!!! seems fucked up
 
since C.R isnt gonna be able to do it they should deffinatly throw in Seth he can ski big mountain better than any of the others and he can still ski kickers, not as well, but his big mountain will make up for it.

WHO SHOULD BE THROWN IN FOR C.R.
 
this is one of the best idea's i've seen in a couple of years. good job K2 for progressing the sport.
 
yall wanna no wat is lame. someone already said seth morrison should get cr's spot... why the fuck isnt he one of the invited? the comp is being put on by his own sponsor...k2...and the shit that is going down in this thing is seth's specialty. does any1 else find it lame that he isnt on the invited list?
 
Ive got the poster, but dont totally get what it is... someone please explain cause everyone is saying how sick its gonna be, but not explaining anything
 
this isn't exactly seth's specialty. Seth's specialty is huge alaskan lines with rodeos, lincolns and backflips off of huge cliffs. From what i gather, this is gonna be all about smaller cliffs with small packed out lips, not really Seth's thing. While I love seth's skiing, I don't think he'd do well at all in this comp.
 
In the invites bios it said that tanner wasn't going to compete in any competitions this year, why did was he in the USO
 
The idea of a waiting period is LONG overdue!

Surf comps have been doing it for years...and it allows the major events to GO OFF! anyone who has watched the pipemasters knows how good a waiting period is...

Skiing should embrace this for all freeski events, expecially the major ones like Kirkwood, Snowbiird etc....give the athletes a chance to throw down on the best terrain during epic conditions....none of this set a date two years in adavnce and push the event in shitty snow!
 
i was going to post this. and maybe seth didn't want to compete in this contest. maybe he had something going on then. i don't know that was the only thing i could think of for him not being there.
 
pollard doing a comp. what happened to all his bitching about how comps halt progression. did he finally change out of his skirt for once?
