K2 length question

In another thread I think I remember seeing something about K2 mesuring their skis differently, meaning that they're longer that the actuall length on the tag. Is the same true for their snowboards?

Like I said, I'm completely unsure about seeing this and I may be on crack...

I know its true on the hellbents, because the measured them "as they ski" and not actual length. They're actually 5 cm longer. But I'm pretty sure that was just for the hellbents. I dunno about their measuring in general.

unlike stated ^, all K2's measure the RUNNNING LENGTH, or the part of the ski that is touching the snow. so 179 fujitives are actually like 182ish or maybe a bit longer. the actual ski is longer than the tag yes, the said length is what you are skiing on.

that never seems to measure up tho. my friend has 176 ninthwards and we're about the same

^Ahhh mucho thanks...can the same be said for snowboards (to be more specific last years models)?

i don't think my 179cm fujatives have a running length of 179cm. tip to tail they measure out to be 183cm. running length is probably in the lower 170s, or upper 160s. i dont have a copy of k2's consumer brochure on me at the moment, but i'm pretty sure it lists running lengths of all their skis in the back.

the whole running length this is not really correct but they do size them small... seems like the skis are all at least 3cm bigger than the tag with up to 6cm for my 189 Hellbents..

as for the boards... idk... Im a skier
