K2 hellbents 179 or 189

im 6'4" 205 and im looking to get a pair of bents that i will be center mounting and riding park and all mountain with and i was wondering should i go 179 or 189
 
bents are just as fun in the park as in pow if you know how to ski...
I would get the 189s if I was you
 
how so? Have you ridden bents in the park? I got an edit brewing that will tell you otherwise.....
and no. they dont make those.
 
yes i have, it was a waste of time, dont tell me how cool it is to be different.

And if your 6 foot 4, youre probably too big for the 189s. Im 5'9" and if i got another pair, i would get 189s.
 
no one said anyone was trying to be different. Just because you cant ski em doesnt mean they arent fun. Hence my original statement.

Pep totally wastes his time skiing them in the park... so does decker and multiple of K2 riders. Stop trying to act smug, you were the one telling people how shit is a waste of time or that skiing a specific ski in a specific zone isnt fun. Maybe you should open your mind and allow people to do things that they enjoy?
 
i ski baker and i have salmon guns and invaders im lookin for a fatter rockered ski and theres a few guys that hit park all day on there bents , i dont get why peopele give a fuck what skis you ride and what part of the mtn
 
just off small jumps :( no rails and i did some ones off some cliffs spencer, they were like 20 to flat, i needed them
 
I rode Hellbents yesterday. Such a fun park ski and an awesome powder ski.
I'm 6'1" and decided to go with 179's. I got the chance to try both lengths and the 189 was too slow and heavy. Although the 189 could be better for you because you're a lot taller than me.
 
Get 189's im 6'5" and 190 they are soo fun, shit for rails and boxes guaranteed but fun for jumps just becasue they are so soft and fat, even better in the deep pow.
 
I'm about 5'11'' and have the 189's. I don't use them for park as I have other park skis, but they are my all mountain/pow ski and they're perfect at 189. The running length is super short on the Hellbents so you would for sure want the 189's.
 
dont get the 179s. im 5-11 and have my 179s mounted at suggested (fuck off haters i dont want a center mounted pow ski) they are hugumoungus. about an inch taller than me. at my size im happy with the 179s but if i were 5 inches taller and were planning to center mount them. 179s would be ski blades.

get the 189s. have fun, they are a sick ski forsure.
 
Just an interesting fact, none of k2s pros ski the Hellbent in a 189. I believe the only ski used by a pro on the k2 team in a 189 is Seth in his pro model. Just an interesting fact from their website. There probably isnt anyone one the team as big as you either.
 
I'm 5'11, ~ 180, and I ride 189s. They are pretty close to center mounted. They are pretty big and gnarly, but they really rip everything.

anyways. 189 or nothing.
 
i know youre a big dude but its the heavy swing weight that makes the hellbent unattractive in the park. find something alittle bit lighter and you will enjoy them more. i have 189s and im 61 180 and they rip everything. i just don't like them in the park that much because of their weight. i don't know why you are even contemplating getting the 179. 189s or bust
