K2 Hellbent

So I know K2 stopped making Hellbents, but is that just for this year or forever? I've looked everywhere and I can't find an answer. So does anyone know if they are working on changing them a bit and then putting them back out for 2015 or if they're completely gone? I've seen a picture of Collin Collins on a prototype ski that looked like it could be a new Hellbent so there's still hope. But does anybody know?

Probably just using Sean Pettits pro model in place of the bents. Better all around ski anyways. Doubt they'll produce them again. Honestly, was kind of a waste of money for the company.

They have almost every size of last years bents on evo and other sites for half off if you still want a pair.

I remember talking to a K2 rep about them discontinuing it. Pretty sad, I love that ski. I find I don't need or want the extra camber in the Petitor. Full rocker skis are getting harder to find these days. (Yeah I know the later models of the hellbent supposedly had a camber zone, but it was pretty much a lie)

Did you not like the Pettitor? Because I just bought a pair of Pettitors over Hellbents a month ago. It was a tough decision, but everyone agreed the Pettitor would be better for everything, but deep untouched pow.

I like the Petitor, I mean it's exactly as advertised. A pow ski that has been tweaked to be more all mountain friendly. The Hellbents are a deep pow ski, but that's what I like about them. Because they are so specialized they are a dream in powder, it's their home and they are made for it. The Petitors sacrifice some of that buttery floaty goodness in order to perform better in chop and on groomers. They are still excellent pow skis, but as I said, they made some trade offs in order to be more versatile.

The word I've got from a reputable source is they're currently working on a 136mm waist prototype Hellbent for 2014-15. I skied the clown model for a few seasons and loved them, even with 4-6" of new they're very manageable. A lot of the pros loved that ski so it wouldn't be a surprise to see them bring it back redesigned. Hopefully they drop the goofy graphics.

Andy Mahre is getting a pro model that will basically be an updated version of the Hellbent, believe it will be for the 14-15 season.

The Nightmahre has been rumored forever, there is a chance they might be making it next year as a lot of K2 athletes are on prototype pow skis that look real fat.

From a "inside" source, the hellbent still exist but only for association that order a big load of it. (wisthler ski patrol for example) K2 switch the hellbent for the shreditor 112 (totally different) and the sale guy that cover my territory told me that he don't think we are gonna see a new shape of hellbent comes up in the next years...

Pretty disapointing, but I'm still stoked to my new shreditor 112! Hope there are gonna be fun!
