K2 Grateful Dead skis…. Meh

I dunno… pretty lackluster effort, imo. The Atomic GD colab a few years back was way better, again, imo. The K2 on the Steal your Face logo bugs me the most. It looks just cut and pasted on there. No artist at K2 could have massaged the logo in better?

Yeah the whole thing just looks mad low effort. Gives me “I’m a cool lawyer dad vibes” I think the collabs are cool but enough already, pick another band !! They’ve beaten the Dead merch into the ground at this point.

The merch is 10x better than the music. Don’t get me wrong. It’s legendary art, but I can’t get into it.. even on psychedelics ?
 
These skis suck, and so do the people who own the Grateful Dead. They give the rights out to anyone and most of the time it sucks big time. TGR for example

Also the dead music hate in this thread is awful. Their music is great, y’all just can’t jam

I mean the name of the skull is a stealie right? I thought the whole point was that its not trademarked and they want people to ‘steal the face right off your head’

this collab is totally not for the NS crowd. Seems like something Rob Katz would buy lol (fun fact: he’s actually a big dead head)

I love the Grateful Dead

but there is no way you will ever catch me rocking anything with a steal your face plastered all over it. Nobody gives a shit that you like the dead, and you aren’t special for liking them. Skis with a steal your face have dentist vibes

American Beauty was a great album. Don’t think I haven’t done a deep dive on them before voicing my opinion. The shits just boring to me, all of the songs just blend together and never seem to go anywhere. But I’m sure ppl feel that way about some of my favorites bands. I hold no resentment, they’re just not my cup of tea.

Their albums are kinda eh, it’s good music. But the real reason people like the dead is because of the live shows and live albums. Sometimes the band is just jammin hard and it’s beautiful on the ears.

their solo stuff is pretty cool to check out also, and think it’s a good introduction to them too

i don't know grateful dead stuff too well but Althea and Box of Rain are super good songs. any other dead songs that are like them?

Dude I hear ya. They’re legends. I respect it. The jam shit just bores me to death, too flower-y for me. I need my stoner rock to have a pulse
