just broke my pe's, and getting some new ones. maybe fujative. how good is the quality?? i weight pretty much. 65kg, and 181cm tall. will the fujative be warned out at once or are the quality good enough??

I'm a girl. secondly, i have had nothing but shitty luck with every k2 ski i bought. if you wanna go cheap ski cheap quality get fuckin k2's. you will wear the fuck out of k2's after the middle of the first season. get some good skis that will last you. rossi isn't that expensive and neither is armada or anything else for that matter if you know how to shop. face it k2 sucks and they are all going to hell. I'm not the one that got owned. anyone who buys k2 skis is gonna get owned. yes, they are shitty quality skis that's why the price is so low. duhhhhh

Do you know who Schmies is? The reason they're priced so cheap is because its cheaper to make skis in China, not because they are poorly made.

^He DESIGNS K2 skis. In other words, he not only knows more than you about those skis, he knows more than you about all skis, and about ski construction in general. They're cheaper than they were because they're produced in China, where they have the same quality control that they had here at a fraction of the price. Oh, and about them wearing out mid-season; I bought pistols before this year. The season is now more or less over up here, and they might as well be brand new. They're very durable in general. Telling people that they'll fall apart after half a season and then telling people to buy Armada (and don't get me wrong, I love Armada) is fucking stupid. Compare the base strengths, they're not even close. You've been completely tooled throughout this entire thread, and you'd be better off just shutting right the hell up before you make yourself look even dumber. Or don't, actually, I'm having fun laughing at you.

i could give a fuck if he designs k2 skis. here's a memo for him, your skis suck dude! i hate k2 skis and yes they are shitty quality. everything that could ever go wrong with skis went wrong when i owned pe's and fujatives. so i got salomons and even those were at least 75% better all around and then i got armadas. those are the best skis I've ever owned. and no i haven't been tooled you dumb fuck don't tell me to shut the hell up because I won't. k2 is no good. they are cheap quality. yes cheap quality. maybe if the same thing happened to you that happened to me you would understand. either that or you are one of those people who buys twin tips and goes down the bunny hill all day and they last for years. so if they are so good how come midway through the season i had them and they were brand new at the beginning, they got a huge ass crack down the middle from doing a 360?!!? they were pieces of shit

As for me not putting my skis through hell, I go through one or two pair a year... I have 5 core shots in my Ar5s. My pistols have zero. They have a couple of shallow base scratches from rocks that barely even got through the wax. The edges have been skiied on rocks all year, and after sharpening, look brand new. But of course, none of that means anything, because one person's experience can vary greatly from another's... of all of us, schmies has the best ideas on how skis should be made up... but you don't care, because you have some sort of mental impediment keeping you from listening to reason. Keep repeating 'shitty quality' and 'cheap quality', and people can keep laughing at you, because it's painfully obvious that you have no idea what you're talking about.

I can't decide if you're annoying or unbelievably amusing.

I have seen K2s break, I have seen Salomons break, I have seen Rossignols break, I have seen Dynastars break, I have seen Armadas break, I have seen Lines break, I have seen 4FRNTs break, I have seen Heads break. I have seen Fischers break. Evryone's skis break sometimes. It happens. You will get a thousand different opinions on any model on here. One kid will say his Armadas (example) are the sickest things he has been on, whilst another will retort that Armada is the worst because he broke his in under a week.

I have no animosity towards you for disliking our product. That is your opinion and you are surely entitled to it. However, to base a single experience on the whole of your judgement towards one product is not only ignorant, it is largely biased. To also say manufacturing in China makes our skis a lower quality is an ignorant statement. Manufacturing of any sort has a percentage of failure. This is without question. Everybody who builds absolutely ANYTHING, deals with this. In ski manufacturung, this includes warrentied models, as well as any factory defects which do not allow a product to be sold as a consumer item. In other words, for example, someone fucked up molding a ski, it won't be sold, it will be destroyed. That percentage is much much lower now than when production was on Vashon Island. The fact is that the product is better made now. I am very sorry you had a terrible experience, I hope you sent the skis in and got a new pair.

The last pair of K2s I ever broke where the old Krietler pros back in 99 and the tip only delamed. Plain and simple, I beat the fuck out of my skis. I'm sure I weigh more than you and I ski all the time year round. Based on that experience, do I think K2s are indestructable? No. Do I think they are durable, hell yes, that is one reason why I work here. I do not however, value my personal experiences over those of everyone else who has tried the product. This is what you are doing and why I am taking issue with it.

Lastly the Fujative is priced competitively because Pep wanted kids to have a ski to rip on that was easy on the pocketbook. We make make close to nothing on that ski. That is why it is cheap.

Next time in your replys, slow it down, and write intelligently about your concerns and thought process.

 
I own PE's from this year and while they have a bit of a fragile top sheet (everyone knows this) they are a great ski and havent' broken on me yet. K2 is a great company since they're from Vashon and I'm also from that area. And really how bad can Chinese manufacturing be? Check out this link. China has the best skiers:

schweitzerski i dont know what your talkin about. if youve ever riddin the seth pistols, youll know that those are just about the most bombproof skis on the market. and just to let you know, armada went under. filed for bankrupcey. anyway. shitty quality or not, these things are a beast.

I think that you should get anyskis now because the prices are so good, and not to mention all of next years skis for dirt cheap...i just picked myself up some 05-06 K2 Fugi's for only 299

are the fujatives a lot lighter than the PEs? and also is it at all possible to find some of the originals PEs somewhere I love my 169s and would love a new pair of 179s but i'm not too into the new grpahics

please answer my question.. i get fujative 179 today. im gonna mount them tomorrow. where should i mount them?? its either core center or the actuall center. ive heard they get weaker at the actuall center, is this true?? im a park rat, always in the park

i got my new 05/06 fujis and they are so nice, the flex is perfect for me. Im light so I need the softer ski.

I really like my fugatives. They are a bit soft in the nose, but thats ok. They have nice pop and are decent on the mountain. I was expecting them to be horrible on groomers, but they are decent.
