K2 extremes

its the exact same as the enemy, they just needed to freshen up the image. the ideal all around ski from k2 this year will be the kung fujas... softish 95 waist. butter.

ItAs previously explained, it will be the PE. Which is a sick ski.

If you are looking for a good all mountain, with a few powder days, the extreme would be excellent. If you want more powder performance, and are a good skier, you might want to think about the kung fujas, it is 15 mm wider than the extreme, but will be that much more to deal with on groomers and such.

It all depends on what you want to ski, and how often you ski. If you don't ski that often (20 or less times a year) You will probably prefere the extreme.

Caps Lock numbers? hahaha

Yup. Same ski as the public enemy, just wanted to bring back the classic name and freshen up the image.

figured i would bump this thread rather than making a new one...

so i'm digging the extremes, i just have one question that i cant seem to get answered. i never rode the public enemy so i can't compare it to that either. i'm wondering what kind of flex the extremes have? i've always rode stiffer skis and i'm looking to get something softer this year. i don't need something as soft as the anthem or anything but i want to be able to dick around and butter and what not. trust me, after riding KGB's the past 2 seasons i'm looking for a ski that will bend a little bit. the all around design of the extreme is appealing, but how stiff are they?

on my PEs, the tips actually aren't ridiculously stiff...like 8/10 stiff. its the tails that are really stiff...which makes sketch landings no problem and the skis have no speed limit, but aren't very poppy, and the stiff ass tails make switch carves really awkward and short. if you want something softer in the tips/tails check out the disorderly. the only thing i don't like about my PEs is that they're really damp and dead...and idk if the new extreme topsheet changes that at all.

i ski for head so have never really skid on much else, but i was bored so i went to the boys at k2 who were demoing up on the mountain and took the extremes out for a run and truely thought they were the funnest ski iv skied, i skied on them all day and really didnt want to give them back. i recommend them to anyone looking for that kind of ski

thats so weird cause everyone shits on the PEs for being super stiff and not playful/fun at all...are they really taht different?

i havent skied a public enemy in the past so i cannot coment or compare, but i can say that i really enjoyed skiing them and to be honest was surprised in how fun they were,a k2 team rider felt the same when we talked about them. maybe there a little under rated?

i have 07-08 pe's and like them alot. I dont really use them in the park to much but are great for allmountain skiing. for stiffness i found that they are stiffer than the foils iv had in previous years but are perfect for what i wanted.

the new top sheet really changed this ski... same dims as the PE but a lot lighter a lot more livlieness and pop.... it is such a fun ski now... tho very stiff, so if your looking for something to butter on probably not the best choice a great all mountain park ski... and it holds up on rails as well.

I have last years and they are more of an all mountian and big jump skis. There stiffer then other park skis making them not as good jibbing skis. Overall i love them.
