hey, i might be getting a pair off these in 183. i was wondering what people thought of them. FIrst, i have heard many things about their derability, or lack their of. How bad are they? Also, how well do they ski all around? How about in the park? Lastly, their tip in the back is very small, has any one had trouble with in landings or taking off fakie? these are last years model. thanks

no, you dont need very much tail to land or take off fakie

and they ski great all around the mountain, you can also bust big air on them

FIS SUCKS

yea they are nice...but i disagree stay with the 183, they are ok in the park but they rule in the backcountry!

Unity....... word up!!!

They are a sweet ski. They're more of a mid-fat, so they ski well in powder and they're very stable everywhere else. I've been skiing on them since they first came out and the only durability issues I've run into are delamination. The print bases on the black ones had serious problems, but the new bases should be better(this is straight from the production guys at the factory). If you're really worried about it, rivot the tip and each side of the tail blocks when you get them as a precaution. However, that might void any warranty. As far as not having as much up in the tail as other twins, it's not an issue. I've skied switch in 6 inches of powder on top of groomed, going like 30, carving turns, and it wasn't a problem. For sizing, if you're around 5-10 to 6ft., I'd stick to the 183. Smaller, you might want to go down to the 173. Put the two side by side and you'll probably be able to tell which one you'd rather have. They're a great all-around ski that perform well in the park, pipe, powder, and they excel at switch carving.

umm by the way I rivited the tips on my black enemys and it didnt void the warranty

Unity....... word up!!!

Funny how massive corporations and media giants like NBC refuse to support new skiing events like big air and big mountian, yet they use the latter's image to enhance their own. Actually, not so funny. Suck it, NBC.

scott, if anyone would know... you would. don't listen to any of these fuckers. my advice is simply to get the longest skis possible.

who ever said that is clueless...the 06 pe is sick

similar ski as the 03-05 but with a p-tex top sheet and slightly revised dimensions...i got my 06s back in march and have over 50 days at Mammoth on em....

one of the BEST twins ever made, the only problem I had on my 05's was binding retention, but thats cause im such an animal that i rip bindings out...but after mMILES of rail slides my 06's are still good and dont have any broken edges
