K2 Domain 2012...?

I'm 5"10 (almost 11) weight about 140lbs and just bought myself some 2012 Domain. The thing is, I used to ride tiny ass skis (161 line anthems) so I was like 169 should be perfect to make the transition to a longer ski, but now that I mounted them and clipped in for the first time, I'm left wondering if I should have gone with 179? Considering the rocker might leave me with a shorter contact surface too...
My bindings are kind of heavy (some Rossi Axial) so maybe its okay to have shorter skis to compensate for the extra weight or I should really have gone with the 179? Someone help me out!

yes definetely, they are very soft, so extra length is gonna give more stability when landing and make the ski more stable when going fast. at your size 179 would be prime. theres not that big of a weight difference between the two lengths.

if youre not hitting big jumps they will work fine. get bigger skis next year. no need to worry now :)

i was your same height and i rode 169s but i mostly do jibs and small stuff but i think they still hold up well when going on big jumps tho. i've hit big jumps with them, about 70ft, and they were goood. you'll be fine this season but if u really want to get a new ski go with the 174 recoils. there almost the same as the domians and it won't be too much bigger if u were concerned about that..

if you land on your feet instead of trying to use the tails or the nose all the time you'll be fine. i.e. just land right.

i'm 5'5 and i've been recommended 169 domains

so yes i believe you should try to size up

i think youll be fine if you were on 161s last year, im 6 feet and 165lbs and i ride 166 abangs but i like shorter skis so its really whatever you prefer
