K2 clear sidewall construction

I just rode my new Kung Fujas 198's for the first time and I chipped off part of the clear sidewall. I havn't hit any rails or anything, I think I just knocked the two skis together while I was falling. Does anyone have some experience with this sort of thing? Is there a certain type of epoxy or something that is ideal for repairing these small dings? I'm worried that I might have to steer clear of rails all together if the sidewalls are just going to blow out.

if it is a serious nick that may allow moisture in or its just too deep then clean the damage and put some masking tape along the damaged sidewall and squeeze in some epoxy. Most of what i've seen is a light grey / white colour so it may not match up or be pretty. After it sets file and sand down the epoxy so that u can sill get at the edges to tune them if u need to. Tough to make it look pretty. It can be a messy job.

Some people actually round off the top sheet at the side edge to prevent drastic chips when skis hit.

I have some Maidens that got a big cut from my other ski edge like on the corner of the topsheet/sidewall. The wood was exposed and stuff, so I took some marine epoxy to seal it, I don't know if it was really necessary, but since the core was exposed I was afraid it would delam if I did nothing.
