K2 BOOT LINE

I would gues not, K2 corp. owns tecnica so K2 skis is a partner of tecnica, this is also true for marker, so basicaly dont expect k2 to make a binding or boot. It would be like dynastar making boots, not going to happen. and if K2 skis does make boots it would just be carbon copies of the current technica line.

same binding, different paint job. Way to say exactly what the person above you said, in a different way. Your post was useless, good job!

you're a fuckign moron, westcoast said that k2 wouldnt make boots because they are partners with techinica, jibremix was stating that rossignol owns/partners with look, yet they still make rossignol bindings, so it wouldnt be too farfetched that k2 would make boots even tho they own technica. you should kill yourself

ok. westcoast. tecnica group is owned by k2 group. they ALSO own nordica. k2, tecnica and nordica are all competitors even though they are owned by the same company. so there is a possiblity that k2 could start making boots...but i think its doubtful.

dynastar doesnt make boots because Lange does. and they are both owned by rossi, who was bought out by Quiksilver. roxy is also a part of quiksilver so thats why they have skis now...

ps.

k2 doesnt make bindings cause they own marker. and no, k2 boots would not be a carbon copy of tecnica boots.

yeah whatever, its all a marcheting scheme to make k2 more money and mass produce their shit chinese style, like they have been doin, im not gonna be surprised when i start seeing k2 shit in wal mart

YOu goon. i think he meant thta they bought half of there molds.. meaning if they had 100, k2 bought 50 of them. (example numbers.) And who cares what graphics your boots have. you kids are messed up and thrive off of cosmetic shit too much. they're normally covered by your pants, or hidden in the snow.

what I am saying is that K2 making boots would be like Dynastar putting their name on lange boots, except it would be the K2 name on tecnica boots. Nordica is different because K2 bought them after they were already a company that made boots/skis.

Good Job pointing out a useless post, by posting another useless post.

Good Job!

I also enjoy how every is talking about how K2 could make boots out of Technica because they own the company, but the person who started this thread said they bought the molds for Raichle ski boots. Ie, K2 would use those molds to make a ski boot line.

I was just saying that I thought that if they were going to be making boots they would use the technica molds because they already own them and would not need to buy new molds.

exactly, the new k2 boots would be different than technica's, not just the same boot with a different name because they are using DIFFERENT MOLDS

it might be something to do with seth having always used raichle flexons... raichle only ever made a few alpine ski boots so half the line is about 2 boots both of which could be flexon varations (similar to kryptons) i heard somewhere from some unreliable source that seth wanted to buy the flexon boot so he could work on them and produce them maybe k2 wanna do it for him. just a possibility.

if they did i'd be stoked cos' since i skied moguls i hate every other boot and my flexons are living of old replacements parts now... i wanna try out the kryptons but can't ever seem to find anywhere with them in europe.

when raichle made them whey made em in stupid colors so k2 would only be carrying on the trend... seth vicious boots would still be pretty stupid looking!

Guys, sorry to burst the bubble, K2 has nothing to do with Technica or even Nordica. K2 purchased Marker and Volkl, not Technica.

This doesn't anwser our Raichle boot mold purchase question? Any insight?

im almost positive that volkl owns technica and marker (seeing as Sarah Burke is sponsored by all three) but maybe im wrong

I did too, until I thought about it.

Rossi/Look are under the same ownership, and the bindings they make are the same...just basically painted differently, so since K2/Technica are under the same line as well, they would but out stuff that is the same as Technica just basically with a different paint job....Unless you were trying to say that...but I think you were trying to say k2 boots would be different...

Now that I'm done rambaling and playing devils advocate....

A K2 boot would be awesome, if it wasn't just a Technica with new colors, which it sounds like it's not going to be...with the recent purchases of the molds...

k2 owns volkl^^

and dalbello does not use raichle designs, simply the concept of the 3 piece shell, which is what makes these boots so amazing.

marker tecnica volkl still may market together or their us distribution channels may be the same. but k2 owns volkl and marker but not tecnica they are still together with nordica.
