Yeha they are hitting the "holes" when it si sunny with snow the night beofre, apparenlty 2 of the holes are being done at my dad's lodge... callaghan country, so i am gonan try and kae it up there for that shiiat. Will be soo sick, they just do it when the weather is good, no set dates.
 
it says on the WSI website that it should be going off around that time so all the atheletes should be in whistler at the time. this could help make WSI absolutly NUTS this year I can't wait for it

I am back in the office after 2 super busy days finalizing all of the Back 9 Details with Shane Szocs. Whistler received 30 cm last night and is predicting another 30cm by Thursday. It is only a matter of time before we call this event on!! The permits are secured, the guides, safety crew, the heli's, and sleds are lined up for what is going to be a game changing event. Szocs has personally selected all of the hole locations and ensures them to be the best the area has to offer. Stay tuned for further updates

Pep would have killed it. But because of him and others Andy Mahre and Rory Bushfield got in, so those are good alternates.
 
Man it sucks that Sage isn't in it. I mean it sucks that Pep and Jon aren't either, but Sage is a big loss.
 
sage blew his knee other wise he would have won it, its nice to see jp in he should have been a invited rider in the first place.
 
just my opinion, but mike douglas, rory bushfield and chris benchetler shouldnt be in there ahead of some of the alternates... but especially not mike douglas... he should be last... Sage and Pep would have blown minds, but pollard or andy mahre will win now i think, candide would have gone nuts... i think it would be more interesting to see what guys like laurent and gagnier would do because i have never seen either in the BC... also TJ, Rainville and Vanular would throw some amazing stuff... any one of those 5 would have been better than the first 3 i mentioned, but thats just my opinion
 
I will admit they are sick, but they are not the hardcore BC riders. This comp is everything from riding the mountain to workin jumps into it. I think the list is good. I do agree though with the person above about mike douglas. Nothing against him but someone should have taken his place.
 
yea i think everybody agrees that mike d shouldnt be in. benchetler and bushfield are dope, but they always do BC, and its never that amazing. I think if you let loose some crazy good park riders, or some crazy good french park riders, they would go nuts and land some crazy new shit... instead of the same stuff we have seen in every MSP movie for the last 5 years
 
are you kidding me, mike D should deffinitely be in it. not only was he one of the first newschoolers to head to the BC, but he is actually able to ski it. getting random park guys wouldn't work cause there is more than booters involved, there are double stagers, cliffs, and probably some mini lines. so they picked people who are proven in the BC. this event has the NW skiers names all over it: Pollard and Mahre. but rory benchetler will also be sick. i'm excited to see what eric hjorleifson throws, this will be sick. also JP should do well.
 
rory and bencetler, mistake. but it's do bad jon couldn't he'd be sick, rember boys and girls, he does have a big mountain comp win under his belt. and i really would like to see candide, just thinking about his fat step ups in ready fire aim and getting me pumped.
 
lets get laurent and benchettler in on this shit. and just because someone isnt an accomplished bc rider doesnt mean they wont kick ass at it. when you have enough skiing talent to be a top guy on jumps , chances are you got the skills to ride big mtn, which is more experience and balls than pure skill.
 
they tried that. they let the olenicks loose in AK and it was fucking gay. if they prove they are backcountry worthy with sick segments in films then they should be allowed in. Mike D althoug not the most progessive lands alot more shit into pow and uneven terrain then even CR or Abma. I dont think they are looking for Gargnier (sp) to huck himself and hope for the best.
 
i agree, get mike d out of there. he can do d spins and 360 mute grabs, thats it, awsome. they should get some better skiers.
