K2 (06-07) Seth Vicious - PICTURES

I brought the secend last pair just waiting for them to be mounted and 4th Jan till i get on a plain and i can start skiing. Nick
 
wait? i thought the pontoons were reverse camber/sidecut like the spatulas? those skis look like they have traditional sidecuts? whats up?
 
i concur. skis = good. my question is why didnt the name get changed again? seth pistol then seth vicious then...seth rotten?? may be 07-08? and theyll be so hot they will melt the very snow you ski on.
 
I think K2 is doing an artist type thing. I wonder who the PE's, Missdemenors, Juvys and Nancy's will be modeled after...
 
o yeah, one more question... when can we expect these things (for purchase) and whats the $. note how the new fujas are going for 20-50 more than the 0506s.

The fuj lumped a little in price (still one hell of a deal) because I believe there will be a new twin tip in the line up at a price below the fuj...

The PE's are an MC escher inspired graphic with nods to the original PE "fuck the police" style...super chill, staring at a pair right now
 
Taper sidecut. They just look like traditional because there's only the front of the ski in the picture.

Again: 154-130-120 (mm)...so they don't actually have any sidecut.

There's alot of talk of them in the TGR forum: the shape is supposed to be a bit more versatile than Spats. I guess you can kind of "scarve" on'em on harder snow, and then just wash out your tails??(just a guess though)
 
those are not the pontoons - those are the new seth's

the seths ahve the same dimensions as this years - new graphix

the pontoons are a rocker based powder ski with a large flat spot under the foot so they will turn on hard pack unlike the spatulas...very different graphix than the seths, very different ski

the seths will be popping up in certain shops real soonv- the pontoons will definitly not be available until next year - I skied with shane yesterday at squaw and he has one of the ONLY pairs made

oh yeah, dur. my bad. i remeber hearing about that. my guess, is that those will work amazing. large spoon to keep it up on plane, and the "skinny" tail that allows the ski to sink in a bit in the rear. plus, that shape should be INCREDIBLY stable, and should be able to be skied on hardpack, at least a bit.

Not sure that is Shane though, b/c I got the picture from some Japenese web site.
 
they didn't copy salvidor dali, they may have been inspired by the drooping figures and happened to use red and orange, but that is not copying
 
I know, It's not copying, its referred to as 'Robbing' or 'Ripping off'! Its the best way to design anything. There's not a lot of totally original art about, believe me!

How did K2 manage to get such high res topsheet graphics? And multicoloured bases are really difficult to make. Most companies can only afford 2 or 3 colours.
 
i just wanted to bring this back up cause i wanted to know if anyone knows the price of the upcoming seth vicious
 
duuude, those vicious's are the fuking sikest skies ive seen that are comin out for 07. k2 has maybe the best topsheets out there and i think the new fuji's are dope too. id buy the vicous's in a heart beat if i had the money

i dont like the pontoon graphics as much as the sv's or the fujis tho.
