photographically: the idea is sick, but i think some better lighting is in order, and i wouldnt have the subject that close to the center of the frame, but it is still a sick shot, regardless.

trick-wise: looks jammin', i would just work on really getting a solid grab.

A stronger flash would have made this awesome. It seems like there are some cool elements in the background that would look sweet, had they been illuminated.
I would also recommend playing around with some post editing, you could maybe compensate a little bit of the lack of flash.
 
Yeah the flash thing is an issue, I was just using the one built into my camera. I'm planning on getting some externals to do some strobe.... hehehe
 
pretty much what has already been said: better lighting, maybe illuminate the jump but keep the background black.

looks sick regardless
 
BTW this isn't me haha.... I suck but I like taking pictures. Its a rodeo 5 japan though. But what I tried to do in the pic is make the jump look legit cause it's really only like... maybe a 10 foot gap haha
 
Because you did this, it sucks. There is no point of reference, you need a point of reference.
 
Well if I hadn't, the point of reference would be the ground about a foot and a half below his head, which would suck more IMO
 
i dont know much about photography but a little bit of back ground light making the trees a little more visible would be cool
 
Meh, then find a different feature man, not point of reference is much worse, believe me.
 
yeah would've been sicker if more lighter, but you can do that on any kind of photo editing system like photoshop
