Jvc jy-hd10 or sony hdr-fx1

i just baught a jvc jy-hd10 but for some reason it is not the best picture quality for the first part when panning and sees light the exposre gets all wearid and i gat a bounch of moving pixles that a eiter lighter or darker than the light but if it is not moving it is great. this is real hard to explane! any way i was wondering if all hd cameras do this because i still can return it and get the sony hdr-fx1 for almost the same price but i was just wondering if it will do the same thing when panning shots. please help i only have one day left to return it.

i hear the sony fx1's a little better as far as picture quality goes. The sony's extremly light compared to my canon xl2...It all depends on personal preverance..peace

 
1) The Sony is a better camera, but...

2) That is a limitation/problem with the HDV compression. It is great when there isn't much movement in the picture, but get's lots of artifacts when there is a lot of movement. Panning means that every pixel in the picture is moving, thus more artifacts. That's justan HDV issue.

Level 1 used the FX-1 and seems to have a fair ammount of camera movement with the jib arm that they got, so it must work. I think Sony has a better handle on the HDV compression than JVC too.
