Just went fishing

Okey, so my buddy and I went fishing today, (no homo). We were like just chilling in his backyard, and he was like "let's go fish" (no homo) and I was like "okey". So we dug up some worms, went to a river and got 4 small trouts, went home to my place, grilled them and ate them with some bread with butter. Fresh fish tastes really good. This was almost the first time fishing, so kinda stoked that we got 4.
So tell me guys, anybody else here with a good fishing story?

actually yes, the first and only fishing experience:

there was this "fishing contest" going on at a local lake. the thing is like 120 ft wide, 380 ft long and at best 20 ft deep. about 30 people participated and they normally throw in a few hundred trouts so the competition gets rolling and everyone gets 1-5 "normal" ones and most guys get a "big" one.

so, two of my friends asked me if we should go up there, take some beer with us and just see if we can get some cheap fish (because this day is the only day you dont need a licence). all in all, we 3 had never really been fishing before and just borrowed the equipment.

long story short is that we didnt get one single trout, despite trying at least one dozen of different baits and two different spots. everywhere, people (including 10 year old girls WITHOUT parents) were like "oh, and another one", "there you go" and "thats a HUGE one" while we were constantly sitting there, drinking our beer and watching our fishing rod didnt move a single inch all day.

to me, its a bigger accomplishment to NOT catch a single fish under these circumstances than anything else.

I gotta couple of my fishing pics from a weekend trip, let me upload them...

GROUPERS.... so good to eat.

on my canoe trip last summer i caught at least one fish everyday (claim). cooked up some bass one night it was alright but the brook trout i caught were amazing.

fishing is fun, i like to go sit and relax. i caught a 40 barracuda once in mexico took forever to bring it in and they had to strap me to a chair so it wouldnt pull me in. lol

Well i just got a job at a place that does half day deep sea fishing, so i hope to have some soon. but in the mean time, do you have any idea how many black fishers there are? and this is on cape cod, land of retirees and summer homes!

one of my first times fly fishing when i was 11 and my dad went home for a minute and i successfully caught my first trout (andt fish on a fly rod). i was hooked that day on. no pun intended

I have far too many stories for this thread, i fish commercially in the cape for bass. got hypothermia, numerous hooks in various places, we do illegal shit on the daily so there's always that, pretty fun shit though, im actually at my job at a fishing shop right now, 14 hour shift today. word.
