Just went 110mph

been 140 in my sti. i know its risky. did it anyway. made sure i was in the safest enviroment possible at the time.
been pulled over doing over 110 on a highway. got away with 94 in a 65. lucky me i guess. taught me a lesson for sure... rarely pull over 90 these days
 
they guy we went with does super well. he boat a huge ciggerette boat. it goes 180 and he can only take it out in the mornin or at night. gets to packed on the river he goes out into. even then he barley takes it out cause he loves to waterski on the glass in the mornins and nights. He has a rv sized trailer just to tow it around. He races it a few times a year to.
 
sweet. i've been on an innertube behind a boat doing 50, that was pretty crazy.
another time in drivers ed I got the scion box car up to 85 without the instructor noticing,
 
I went 110-120mph in a Mustang before with a bunch of careless drivers. I can't imagine hitting anything at that speed. We would have like blown to pieces.

We were on a country road that had a like yuo know...45-55mph speedlimit. Straight and flat when yuo drive down it normal, but I remember feeling even the slightest change in the road at 110-120mph really threw the car around more than ever. We were up to 120 for all of maybe 5 seconds before we were like woah fuck this....

Another buddy of mine claimed he was on his crotch rocket doing 140-145. Couldn't imagine that shit.

While in a holding cell at jail, a guy waiting to get bonded out has been running from the cops he said for something like 2-3 years on his Ducati or something bike. He said the thing does 173mph and he has no intentions of ever stopping, but he said all it would take would be a raccoon (or worse a deer) and he would be road kill.

I find going fast to be over-rated, although when in a rush I'll find myself doing 80-90 with no problems, and even pushing to 100 feels fine and dandy.

Imagine the autobahn.....in a Ford Festiva and a Ferrari.

 
since this is where the claim party is... drive a wrx everyday to work. once turbo kicks in it will jump up over 110 almost effortlessly when i feel like it and traffic is null

gotten a ticket in utah doing 111 in a 75 (wasn't wreckless) in my gf's volvo at 2am. haven't payed it... its been 5 years

been to 140+ once in the wrx on a highway outside richmond va at 6am in the morning, was scary as fuck and i probably wont do it again till i have money invested in coilovers, sway bar, wider rims and BIGGER brakes.

No offence but people in Europe also know how to drive, the american car test is ridiculous and in NC or something you can start driving at 14/15, that is stupid although I can see how much it could improve your life been able to drive younger, get to places etc but most people are not responsible enough at that age.

When you drive on the autobahn its fine like you said people are expecting the speed and not all sections are unlimited in fact theres not many places that still are, my mum drove at 140mph+ most of the way although a lot of the Germans go still flying past but its all safe.

Your speed limits are pretty low over there too, general motorway cruising speed in england imo is about 90mph in England.

Not raggin on the states here although it seems that way but there are some stupid things like being able to undertake its not necessary at all and is unsafe and how young I was told you could drive in NC although it might be older.

 
hit 95 in my ford explorer sport suv, standard with rear wheel drive, only a 5 speed, by 70 mph it sounds like a fucking jet engine, stupid non aerodynamic car!
 
i dont get how people say ohhh i went 110 in my....

115 doesnt even seem that fast in my car and i drive a 05 mid level ford, i cruise at that speed.

this threads a total claimfest but idk, i want to do 200+
 
Get a plane or something. You cruise at 200 land at 70. Plus you can do rolls and loops which is way more excited than doing 110 in a straight line down a road.

A convertible with 4 kids in it from my school rolled a few days ago. Two walked away without a single scratch, and the driver had a shattered nose, cracked skull and a severe concussion. The other has a neckbrace, a broken arm and some pretty intense road rash on her forehead.

After seeing the pictures, It's incredible that they even lived. The windshield was completely flattened.
 
i have had my cruise control on 135 for extended periods of time. seems like a good cruising speed across deserts
 
For all of you claimers, look at your GPS to see if it has a max speed saved somewhere.

My garmin has 98.3 from my last drive with it.

the fastest I've ever been is around 170 clicks in my dad's acura. I don't know the translation to miles but it's a little over 100mph.
 
its weird because i can reach 135 easily in my 94 lx..

not saying its a beast, but i'm surprised your ex wouldn't go higher (or maybe you didnt go all the way?)
 
81 in my friends superchared yamaha wave runner with a new engine..witch is so fucking fast on a jet ski.

93 in friends dad baha cigarette boat..

and 165 in dad gt500 shelby..
 
well i had my chevy blazer going 100 today, then the governor kicked in. oh and while everyones claiming shit i've been on the autobahn and seen cars go by so fast you couldnt even see what they were
