Most of these songs were made in the 90's and they get overlooked.

That is like 1/8th of his songs worthy to be put on this list

just how I feel, you most likely have different tastes in music

 
Nas is fucking sick. I also think ether is fucking dope. Nothing spells out his beef with jay-z like that song.

Affirmative action by the firm ft. Nas is also one of my favorites, minus foxy brown's verse slash horrible math.
 
and if you haven't listened to his verse in "Verbal Intercourse" by Raekwon, you should really do that right now. because its magical. also all lyrics in Life's a Bitch are dope
 
illmatic is by far his best album. He slays every song and its pretty much the shit.. My favs have to be NY State of Mind, Half Time, One time for your mind, It ain't hard to tell, surviving the times, the message.
 
The only word you can use to describe Illmatic is perfect. That album will never get old no matter how many times I listen to it.
 
It's weird that i saw this thread just now. I haven't heard much Nas, but my friend is a huge fan so i just downloaded Illmatic. Gonna put it on a CD and listen to it in my car for a while and see how i like it.

WORD nas is so sick, one of the few OG lyricists still in the game.I would say nas is top 5, along with Immortal tech, Canibus, KRS and Big L

Illmatic is one of the only rap albums that I have heard that I can listen to every song and never get bored or have to urge to change it.
