Just signed up for my first session at mhssc, now what should I do to prepare to get the most out of camp?

IMO, the majority of answers to that question are going to be the same no matter what the camp. That being said, I'm sure some folks that have been to MHSSC can give you some specific tips for that camp.

My advice: be outgoing and social with fellow campers and coaches, give the coaches lots of feedback in regards to what you want to learn, what you like skiing and such, make sure you take time to listen to everything the coaches have to say and heed their advice, ski hard, push yourself, and most of all have fun! If you're skiing hard and having fun, the rest will take care of itself.

this. just be ready to be very active and involved. maybe in the weeks/month before you go start exercising/stretching to get ready. if youre in shape youll be able to ski longer and harder. when others are beat from hiking youre still going.

Waking up early and staying up late. Get good at ping pong, making sandwiches, and breaking into the girls room once the officials go to bed.

listen to the coaches cause most likely they know what their talking about.as for other stuff i would bring sunscreen for your face, and i longsleeve shirt or two so then you dont get greasy arms cause its just annoying to me, more then one pair of gloves, painkillers, and a pair of sunglasses.

also i would suggest that you suck the most amount of time that you can while skiing cause odds are your gonna feel like an idiot leaving in the middle of the day every day knowing you could have had that much more time skiing, or maybe that's just my wacked out mentality.

I am here right now and the best way is to jump on the tramp as much as you can and listen to the coaches and try alot of stuff. The snow is soft so be confident.

this is real talk right here, as far as skiing goes if you're decently in shape you'll have a great time but don't forget to YOLO it up as a camper

I went alone last year and had a blast. Be social and you will quickly make friends and have a great time

This about sums it up, but please don't bring drugs. No one wants to deal with that shit and you don't need it to enjoy yourself. At all. The rest of the advice in this thread is solid, too.

This thread makes me so sad. I was all set to sign up and buy my plane ticket, but my mom (who had been against the idea the entire time) said I wasn't allowed to go because it was too expensive for me. Even though I have the money and a very well-paying job. Oh well, I'll get out to hood eventually, have fun for me until I do!

thiiiss. but yeah dont go there then leave and be like, "oh shit i shoulda done that trick." just do it and if you fall so what. dont be a pussy

She can be sometimes haha. She and my dad both grew up with really strict parents, and they never had money to spend and were used to be very frugal. So now we're pretty well off and live in a nice neighborhood, but they still don't spend a lot, and they get really touchy when I want to spend my hard earned money on skiing.

Nevermind, there might still be hope! Now if only MHSSC would pick up their phone, or at least turn it on. Everytime I've tried to call it goes straight to voicemail, and the travel agent they have the number to on their site isn't much help either.
