think they'll listen? i just feel like I have to give them a few suggestions.

Dear Smuggs

I have been going to Smuggs for a pretty long time now and this is, I think, my 6th season here. I feel like I need to make a few reccomendations to you guys though. Most of the freestyle population at Smuggs is heading to other mountains this year and I feel like I should let you guys know why. Last year the park was a little better than previous years but I really strongly believe that we need a park crew. The park crew would maintain the parks and change the set-ups often to keep the skiers interested and satisfied. Yes, last year there were some new features and every Saturday there was a Jam which was awesome but...the quality of the jumps and consistancy throughout the year just wasn't there. I feel and know that Smuggs needs a dedicated and knowledgable park crew to keep things in check. I saw somewhat of an effort of this last year but there were many times during the year where I felt like I wasn't getting my money's worth. Simple things like keeping the jump's launch angle and landing areas in check would greatly benefit the freestyle population. It would also keep us coming back year after year. Unfortunately, I am kind of tired of waiting and hoping for "next year to be better." Do you guys know what I'm talking about? I am really interested in this subject and would greatly appreciate a reply. It would make me think much more of Smuggs than I do right now. If you guys would like I will continue to make suggestions to let you guys know how this year go's and everything but that is a while aways. So for now please consider my proposal for this year. Honestly, I could just go to Stowe for a better park but I love the Smuggs atmosphere. That is why I'm giving you guys another shot before I move on to Stowe. Please don't brush this e-mail aside, use it as an opportunity to gain new insight as well as progress from previous years.

i've seen a few people work on the park occasionally but its not consistant. thats for sure. they need to make it more full time.
 
at the beginning of last year everything was nice but then everything went downhill. it got to the point where the launch angles were so bad you had to bomb the whole park to clear a 25 foot table. otherwise you get shot straight up and case it.
 
i already bought my pass. some of my friends left to go to stowe. this wasn't really thought out or anything. i did that randomly in like 10 minutes. all of a sudden i thought "hey, why not e-mail them, its worth a shot." and that is what came from that thought. i bet you guys are wondering so why don't you go to stowe? i dont have enough money and the smuggs bus is nice on gas money. i know everything about smuggs and liek ti there. i know about the bc areas and everything. i just like it there. if they took my advice..smuggs would kill it.
 
i thought about that but there is no way i could do that with school and a job which i have. i guess im bitching at them but they should satisfy their customers. i'm not asking for anything really rediculous or anything. just to keep the park in check and give me my money's worth.
 
yo u should have included moving it to m2. full run since no one skis that lift anyways... i still havent bought my stowe pass and i am still considering smuggs cuz some of my friends r goin there still menke
 
thats a huge proposal man. if they reply to me i'll be sure to reply back and mention that. you should go to smuggs dude. we know all about smuggs's bc and everything which is sick. i think they are going to go up a notch in park too anyways, so they say. either way its still sick and we will have a ton of fun again just like always. i just dont want to go to stowe because its more money that i dont have and i wont have my 6 month liscense thing done. next year when i have that maybe we'll hit up stowe. cause this year i won't be able to drive people to stowe and we'll really never get to ski together. even if we all did go to stowe. smuggs is closer and they have a bus to save gas money. we always have such good times. keep the crew together haha. nic and jack are going there, and me. and billy morgan and i cant think of his jack something....dude its gonna be sick regardless the park. which is still acceptable.
 
its true menke if smuggs park was legit or even just ok, id stay there, but it sucks big time. They just ondt care about the customer. So i had enough stowe is the way, its dubie by they way menke
 
yo i completely agree wit wut the thread maker said in his letter, i ski smuggs every year over xmas break and the park is super small and shitty.... i thought this was b/c every time i go iz "early season" but they DO always have plenty of snow by then. Last year the park consisted of a short ride-on box, an 8ft rail, and a down box.... the down box was legit but they didnt have any booters or anythin, if i get to it maybe i'll send'em an email too.
 
good letter, but you should have sent it earlier, its harder for them to make accommodations now, i bet most of their stuff is already scheduled in.
 
Haha come to Baker's park and say that. On spring days with no powder your better off making your own jump.
 
did you get to actually ski the real park by the t-bar? it sounds liek your talking abou the mini park in birch run. am i correct?

the real park was sick once they go it up but it got out of shape fast. if they could keep the condition up to par year round i'd be happy. they don't even have to do more than that for me. i'd love for them to change the set-ups and stuff but that may be a little too much to ask. the real park consisted of....down rail, flat-down rail, c-box, s-box, wall, flat box, and a few tables. its a good amount of stuff but they don't lay it out very well and sometimes some of the features aren't even hittable or fun because of the conditions.
 
oh and smuggs did email me back. they said they were working on it and were going to transfer my email to the mtn. operations department so they could help me out more direct and see what they could do. i havent gotten an email from that dept. yet but its only been a few days since that last email.
 
ya dude me an another kid are gonna try to talk directly to some park head freestylish guy and tell hem what we think and how to make the park 169 times better then ever, oh and you cant really count last year cuz they all the snow ready to carve the jumps n shit but then it ALL melted and they had to start from scratch, but ya way to take initiative.
