Hey guys,

I posted the rough version of this months ago on M&A, we just released the film online today. Really stoked how it turned out, and the fests we got into.

Do any of you have experience with trying to maximize views by contacting companies with big FB pages? Hoping we can get a couple people on board posting it...

Would love to hear what you guys think.

Cheers,

K

If you contact some bigger companies to share it they may ask you to incorporate a logo or something. I would definitely push infinity list for views and then share the video with the moderators on the vimeo staff picks page. I think this would make the cut and you'd get huge publicity for that. Do you have an idea of the companies you're thinking of? That might help narrow it down so I can help out more.

Although it might not be exactly relateable I could possibly reach out to my contacts at evo and see if they would be interested in doing a blog post or sharing it. Let me know the companies you're thinking of

Hey man,

Sorry, kinda worded that wrong, meant things like Tourism BC, Coast Mountain Culture etc. MEC sponsored the film, so that is why their logo is in, wouldn't be doing it for other companies who didn't support...

Infinitylist is rad, submitted the vid so hopefully it'll get picked up.

For Staff Picks, how do you go about submitting? I used their shoutout box, but it seems as though people are posting in that every minute.

Already for companies we contacted, CPAWS, Tourism BC, BC Mag, Tourism Canada, Outside Film School, Clymb, Toque and Canoe, MEC, C4, Mountain Life, BMFF, Can Geo, Speakers Spotlight, Nahanni River Adventures, Twitter

If you don't mind man, that would be awesome. Thanks.

Another great piece, Kalum. Short and sweet how I like it. Pretty much everything I've seen you post inspires me on some level.

Sorry I can't help as far as getting exposure, though.

I would contact The North Face, although it's a really big company they seem to sponsor small film projects. They also produce videos similar to your theme: exploration, adventure, etc...

Did. I see this at the BANFF Festival? I have DEFINITELY seen this before. And holy wow that was amazing. It was one of those films that make me question how I live my life. Incredible work. And if this doesn't get a staff pick, I really don't know what will.

Watched this earlier today and didn't post in here. It's been eating at me all day. To not tell you how absolutely amazing this is would be an injustice. I havent watched such a well made, incredibly stunning, and downright brilliantly made film such as this one in a long time. Really sparked something for me. I can only say thank you for making this.
