not bad tho for your very first beat, keep playin around with different sounds and even making your own tweaks and adjustments to the preset sounds. i like how you sampled that tho very nice.

Those sounded good, I like the minimalism.

I felt like there was a lack of a sense of contrast in them though, like the 2 samples you used carried each song all the way through - not too much variation. I guess a rapper could provide the contrast but its still good to have it in the beats - I'm sure you're thinking in well-defined musical sections, I feel like you could make them pop more though.
