Just got the hv20

just got my canon hv20 with the starter kit from Zoommania.com in the mail today. i am mad stoked and can't wait for the weekend to start filming.

The kit came with:

Canon HV20 (with all the manufactured shit in the box... remote, battery, etc.)

3 filter lenses

lens cleaner and desk tripod

extra 3 hr battery

durable pretty dope carrying case (not too big and clunky)

TOTAL:

820 (with a $30 shipping :[ but its better than waiting 21 days for free shipping)

but yeah im stoked, and cant wait until i can buy a wide angle lens.. or santa might get it for me. ghaha

yea i got the hv20 this summer and have gotten like 20 days of filming with it...i love it, plus its such dope quality

lemme know how that handle goes for you and send me some pics when its done so i know what to use and what itl look/work like

i plan on makin it tomorrow for some fresh filmage on saturday

me and my friend max are making a small birch run edit (smuggs pre season park) so it will be under the park updates on tuesday or somethin

all i gotta do is be like to my step dad, yo is it possible to make this handle?

and he feels like if its possible hes gotta do it, so then i just sit back and watch him make it

 
oh and im planning on buying a tripod pretty soon once i make some money off some crochet at school.. i want something pretty small that will be easy to carry around at the mountain but will extend pretty big. anything in mind?
 
IM in the exact same situration its crazy haha. i got my hv20 in june. i want to put a handle on it too, and ive also already got some early season follow cam box shots and stuff that are cool. i also got 2 lenses for it too. ill try to take pics and upload. when i post my setup over winter break in that dumb post your setup thread my hv20 will definitely be in my setup haha.
 
oh and i also am in need of a nicer tripod. what editing programs do you guys use? wanna start an HV20 cult? hahah. and my area code is 208 crazy
 
Such a sick camera. Only problem is that its really small.

Make a steadycam for it instead of a C handle. Steadycams are amaaaaazing.
