Just got my Wisdom teeth out...

So I was part of a clinical trial for a new surgery that removes wisdom teeth. I will be bedridden for the longest time (maybe another day) and I am bored.

NS can you keep me entertained? What should I do for the next bit of time after this awful surgery.
 
I don't understand why you're bed ridden. You can still do stuff after you get your wisdom teeth out. Your mouth just hurts like a bitch for a couple days.

It's suggested to be bed ridden for 24 hours. After that you're good enough to eat a plate of nachos.
 
You're all a bunch of pussies. When I had mine out they used some local anaesthetic, yanked them out with fancy dentist pliers and sent me home on the bus half an hour later.

(waits for someone to say I'm the pussy because they had the same procedure, sans anaesthetic)

Were you awake? Because if not, you missed out; rarely in life does one get the opportunity to hear their own jawbone cracking.

I was only partially under, so there were times where I was slightly conscious during the process. I could at one time hear them breaking one of my teeth or jawbone.

Doesn't it also depends if they're impacted and they need to cut into your gums and shit? One of my teeth, I dug out on my own with a finger nail.

It would most likely increase the chance of dry socket. Dry socket really sucks and prolongs the healing process.
 
got my wisdom teeth out, got some shitty perception anti-inflammatory. smoked some weed, got dry sockets, and then went back and got percocets. between the percs and the bud i couldn't even feel my dry sockets. don't see the big deal there.

I did, the day after.. Got way too drunk and smoked a few cigs, I was fine though.

This. I didn't have surgery, and wasn't put under, the dentist just shot some novocaine in and yanked them out. Two were impacted, too. I was awake and the sound was horrifying.

Got mine out yesterday morning. Not bed ridden, the pain killers knock me me out though. Still can't eat solid foods so I've been eating guacamole, smoothies, and soup. Any good Netflix recommendations or book reccomendations?

I saw a TGI fridays commercial when I got home from mine being pulled. I want mozzarella sticks so bad.
 
So I'm 5 days out, going to the doc tomorrow, but have this flap of tissue that is coming off my gums. Bottom left where they took one of my teeth out. I can move it back with my tongue and it feels like it shouldn't be there.

Anyone else ever experience this?
