People need to stop thinking of resolution in terms of lines. Perceived resolution between camera bodies is the produce of scaling algorithms, of which one component is the amount of lines extracted from the sensor. Boiling it down to a simple X number lines vs Y number of lines takes away the artistic value of judging resolution by reducing it to a mere numbers game, spawning stupid statements such as "200 lines isn't that much more."
Use your eyes; ignore the numbers. The difference is huge. If you noticed it, especially on web-compressed video, then you've answered your own question.
