Just got laid off

you dont need a tonnage licence but it looks better. you only need a 6 pack license which is pretty easy to get.

Im from RI and sail and go to school in Utah to. If it doesnt work out it looks like its gonna start snowing here soon. Good luck though sounds like a leget opportunity

I work right next to the Goldman Sachs building in SLC, never met such a depressing group of people in my life.

Hahaha, exactly.

I mean if you like working 60+ hours a week, and enjoy getting treated like complete dog shit, then go for it. Otherwise, do something that you have a passion for. Make money for yourself, not for some higher-up dick who doesn't give two fucks about you.

Well, it does take a certain kind of socially inept loser to decide to join a frat, then actually do it. But hey, if you can pay money to make friends, why not?

Yea man paying for housing, utilities, a chef to cook meals, social events, and alcohol is totally paying for your friends..

At that time in the thread I had no idea who he was employed for, if he had a work contract with a cruise ship or company of some sort it would probably be different. I didnt claim to know anything about the bbb

The boat moves around. I went down to James town today to to talk to one of the crewing agency, it looks like I'm too late. Time to sign up for something at the snowbird

Bitching? Nah. I simply said he should get some frat friends to help him out. Isn't that what frats are all about? Helping out your "brothers"?

So did you change out that tampon? Cause you seem to still be acting like a little misinformed bitch. Maybe this isn't the thread for you...

fuck dude that would have been a great experience. ive done some big boat crewing but nothing that big, and not for more than like a day becuase i just crew in races sometime

i would run down to some of the shipyards/marinas in newport. some of the larger sailing yachts there may start leaving, some stay year round though. worth a try

Yeah I would try that. Newport Shipyard is still pretty full. Everything else is pretty slim. Artemis, Zefira, Timoneer, are some of the larger (100+) sailing yachts there. Not sure if they're looking for crew but its worth a try. Print up some resumes and start talking!

Good news karma exists the guy just hit a rock and messed up his brand new bottom. Pics once I get off my iPhone
