Heya NewSchoolers.

So today i finally went to pick up my frontside skis (Elan 82 xti). I got them very cheap with the bindings included, mounted etc. from our sister company. I just realised they have one tiny scratch on the topsheet around the thick area, where a small spot of plastic is scratched and you can just see something silver-ish. The sole also has a 4mm or so scratch. It's not very very deep or long, but it is definitely there. Do i care about these small things? Also, do i prepare the skis in any ways? They have barcode stickers etc. on the sole, so maybe i want to get them waxed etc. after removing these ugly stickers??

Thanks in advantage!! :D

Peel the sticker off and wax them with a heavy coat. Don't scrape the wax til your ski season starts. Before you go skiing reheat the wax (just like if you were putting on a fresh coat of wax) then scrape.

If you can't see the core then it's not worth getting fixed when it comes to scratches.

Never hit a rock or scratched any of my skies that badly. Metal-ish stuff, would that be the core, or are we talking about the wood core here?
