Just got an Audi S4

amen, fuck SUV's drive them if you hate snow and wish that it will all go away and never come back, cuz thats essentially what you are doing

I took my 2001 A4 1.8T Quattro out to Snoqualmie Pass this weekend and drove through over a foot of snow, mud and puddles on the Potenza tires that came with the car. It was fun to say the least...

yeah dude me too, not the new ones though, i would so pay to ship a b5 rs4 over from germany if i had the money

haha, that's so true, but its so hard to find a b5 with left hand drive. plus they are sooo expensive, around 40g's, plus shipping over here, and then you have to convert it to U.S. standards. Right now there are only two in the U.S. cause its so damn hard to get em over here. It is some much easier to just upgrade the turbo on a regular S4.

Dude the news audis are so much pimper than the old ones you gotta love the v8 man! Shit, I live in Boulder so there are Audis fucking everywhere. In that regards, it sucks cause every rich spoiled kid here has a 1.8t a4 or and s4. However, I have seen a few rs4s around town and holy shit sickest exhaust note ever. 430 horsepower v8 from the factory beats a turbo 5 or biturbo 6 anyday of the week IMO. But yea Audi's are wonderful cars, kid I went to school with has an RS6 fucking spoiled bitch, and he can't even drive. I smoked him in a 540i sport like nothing.

To the guy that just bought that S4 good luck. Turbo 5 cylinder+110,000 miles+mods by previous owner would throw up some serious red flags to me. Anyways just stay on top of the maintenance and let those turbos cool down or you are gonna be knee deep in repair bills.

Whoever said that S4s are better in the snow has never driven loveland pass in an s4 and later that day driven it in a 1995 nissan pathfinder. SUV's own in the snow. You cant drive an s4 through drifts and up crazy shit. Plus going skiing in my buddies s4 is cramped as shit for 4 people gear and beer. I have driven both cars and SUV's and its your pick but I would rather have more space then something that is just going to get me tickets.

P.S. Thats a rational argument the S4 is still a fucking sick car and one of the funnest I have ever driven.

dude the only way a pathfinder would do better is if it had some really nice tires with big ass tread. my friend owns a lifted pathfinder and it sucks so bad in snow, it gets pretty good traction, but you cant go fast at all and if you do then it starts to slide around and it gets really scarry, i drive up loveland pass like every weekend in my b5 s4 and im usually passing like 8 cars at once in snow while keeping perfect control, last weekend i got 11 cars at once including a semi.

for driving through snow and dirt or whatever nothing beets an awd audi or subaru. the only time a suv could do better is if your actually offroading.

mabye the s4 you were in had bad tires? tires make all the difference for driving in snow, the difference between summer/ all seasons and good winter tires is soooooo huge.

ya man perhaps in ice or some shit but really actual 4x4 is no match for any awd system in heavy conditions. My buddy drives an s4 and I have pulled him out of his own drive way so many times. I dont actually have my own car right now and when I get back I would really like to have an s4 but I cant do it. Not just the money, I need to drive on harry roads some time and I need to move a lot of shit. Tundra...

yeah i hear you i just got a 2000 explorer sport...i like it a lot except for the gas milage...but its dope..it fits my needs very nicely
