Yeah, so I worked my ass off this summer and bought an Audi S4, which totally kicks ass... yeah but seriously, anyone else have one of these? someone told me that when they break its a bitch to fix.. Also, what roof racks work on these?

my friend has one and it took him three weeks to get his AC fixed becasue they had to order tha parts for cali and they were really expensive

It's not a car you'll be able to do many repairs on yourself, but they're super fun to drive. I have two friends that drive them, one has 350hp and the other has 550hp.

thats awesome, what year is it? and yea it will be a bitch to fix b/c you will need to order stuff from far away if it breaks, and the parts are expencive.

Thats sweet, and how you worked for it makes it even cooler. I wish I had the derermination to work for a car like that.

buy a bitch they just meant rediculously expensive... which is definatley the biggest downside to such cars. for a rack yakima and thule are both sick. If you are gonna carry stuff other than skis thats rather heavy get yakima cuz the round bars dont bow nearly as easily as the thules. I have a thule and I race downhill mt bikes, and with three ~50 rigs on the my thule you can see the bars sag down. and you can mix and match thule racks with yakima attatchments and vise-versa (errm, spelling?). and if you carry bikes that are over like 30-35 lbs and/or dont have quick release axles, the king cobra by yakima is the friggen sweetes rack ever.

Quick releases are for weenies. If you put a bike on a sweet car like that it had better have a thru axle.

it may be the nicest thing you'll ever won, but dont brag about it on an internet site... it make's other feel worhtless and yah.. shut up... dick weed

you know that is my dream car, i tell everyone i just want an s4... but no one will take me seriously. yo congrats man, if you worked your ass off and bought that car for yourself then you better get out there and start enjoying it, b/c you musta worked really really hard.

Good for you buddy, my dream car is a 2002 M3 in Laguna Seca Blue, and I WILL have it one day. It's not like a rediculous dream car, it's one I'll actually buy.

one of my dream cars is a 2001.5 nogaro blue s4 with matching interior, its the 2.7l v6 twin turbo 1, my friend just got 1 and its amazingggggg

one of my friends picked up a 92 urs4 the first gen with the inline 5 and single turbo, w/o badges on it, it looks exactly like an audi 100.

hey faggot you still havent paid derek yet and he and everyone else isnt too happy about your little bitch ass wannabe fiend bullshit

dude S4's MOBB......i buddy got one and we got it goin like 125-130 in 4th gear and its a 6 speed

my buddy had one, VERVERY expensice, hwo many miles? at 100,000 yiou ewill have to replaced the turbos, expect to spend 3000+

Yea Audi's are tough to work on when they break down or something happens and it usually ends up with you taking it to the dealership to get it fixed...

yeah, it has like 110,000 miles on it, pearl white, black leather, I replaced all the hoses, fluids, and belts, plus ATA chrome 18's. it's the 1994 urS4. the guy who had it b4 me upgraded it to 330hp. pics soon...

nice, i have a 99 a4 that i got back in 02 exactly as everyone else said it's ridiculously expensive to fix so... when stuff's going good, the car's great but when stuff craps out it's awful. mine basically crapped out after the warranty ended and since then i've spent as much on service as i did on the car.

it's been better lately though and i got a short shifter and a Stage 2 performance clutch which have made driving it tons of fun.

oh and my roof rack setup is thule (standard load bars, big mouth bike racks, 4pr ski carrier, fairing) i definitely like it a lot, but a few complaints would be the bike racks jam up a lot and the seal between the feet for the load bars and the car is so so.. sometimes if it's raining really hard, water will drip into the car when driving. never tried yakima stuff though, so dunno how it compares.

just treat it like a friggin baby and you shouldnt have to many problems. It's when people start being rough on vehicles (i.e. not maintaining it enough) that you have problems and start having to spend money and this happens with all vehicles, no matter what the brand.

Audis are dope cars though, I have a 85 audi quattro that I got for like 2000 bucks. It has almost 3000000 miles on it and runs like a champ, the sound system is off the hook once I put a new cd player in it. :) They are definately expensive to fix, but if you treat them right, they dont break down often. All cars are pretty expensive to fix. Find a good audi mechanic though, dont want some dumbass working on it making problems even worse. find a place that specifially deals with audis.

It really sad how many jealous people there are on this site.

Can't you guys just be happy for him???

Don't listen to what these punks say, its a sick car!

Trying to get an Audi S4 myself. My Engineering friends know cars inside out (one was actually given a grant to build one himself) and they got me into Audi's.

they arent that bad to work with, if your talking about a b5 the only bad thing is that its a big engine for such a small space so its hard to get around, its scary at first to work on but then you realise its not too bad, as long as you have the right tools and dont have huge hands. ive got a 2000 with around 350 hp, ive gotten up to 145 and still had a whole nother gear to go but i ran out of room.

That shits ill man. I'd kill someone for a nice B5S4 but they're so hard to find with decent milage. Congrats on the car. Any pics?

my type 44 will smoke your plastic shitbox... just kidden.. iam jelious for you but yeah.. new audis arnt like they used to be

why, an s4 gives you way more control, all that wieght that omes with an SUV is a bitch when the road is slick. SUV's also cost more to drive and they are top heavy and role over easyer.
