I under-rotated a cork 7 in early february and ended up tearing a few of the ligaments in my knee. I got surgery yesterday and i was wondering if any of you guys have had similar injuries? If so I was thinking about making a trip to oregon in mid august, will I be able to ski by then? I asked the doctor and he wasn't really sure. Also i'm very high on OxyCotin and it feels good man

That's a question only you will be able to answer. You should wait AT LEAST 6 months before going back. You should also take it easy afterwards. If your knee feels unstable, don't go for it.

probably not dude 6 months is not a whole lot of time for your knee to recover. unless you're adrian peterson or some shit then i'd say go for it.

but then again, if thats your goal and you work your ass off to have your knee strong enough then go for it. i had hood as my goal after getting surgery in december and was able to ski in august, but that was like 8 and 1/2 months. just enjoy the pillz and don't get too fixated on not being able to ski you'll be all good

i did the exact same injury a year ago. 6months down the line no chance i was skiing. I only started skiing again after 9 months. At 6 months my leg was still a twig from the 6 weeks un weight bearing from the meniscus damage. I just passed a year from surgery and only just started hitting jumps a little again. Still with swelling on occasion and some stiffness.

Good luck bro, put the time in to the physio and you will be back at it soon.

ACL reconstruction for me last February. Only got to ski on it twice in November. It was really strong for me. The quickest way back is to listen to your doc and PT the shot out of it. I was 4-5 days a week and was cleared to do anything I wanted in 5 months by my doctor who I really trusted. I felt confident but still didn't test it fully for a few months but back on skis I had a brace and felt great.
