if you are banning people for using racial slurs your might as well ban them for using words like gay or fag. Or any insult really. If you can't handle racial slurs then you are the true racist. This is the internet and shouldn't be controlled by the FCC of newschoolers.

Sure the person should get disrespected but banning?
 
Acutally you can get banned for using wods like gay and fag...especially in a derogitory way..and if the person claims to be that way or whate ver they will complain and you will be banned...how do you think i got banned...i called some one the n word and they claimed to take offense to it...oh well

you just have to be more causious with the words that you are using and how you use them

These questions get very tiring after a while. Go back to the first page. Where Skodeo explained. Post Whoring is going around and "first!" - "+1" - "you're gay" - "I'm not posting anything useful, hi!".

Posts that contribute and apply to the topic of the thread, are fine.

You wonder a number of things about me. I am a stay at home mom during the week. I work on the weekends.
 
In off hours, ie early in the am, its very possible, unlikely, but possible.

But does anybody really think a mod would ban without checking a few of those threads for legit posts?
 
Mods and admin get to decide what is and is not acceptable. Its not a democracy. I actaully think bitching about the rules should be looked upon the same as breaking one, but thats just me. I have far fewer issues with the people in charge then many other do.

That said, this thread was over before you clicked on it. The title told you all you need to know. Good day.
 
Bitching about the rules is one thing, but its very important that all members have a say towards the rules of the site. Obviously members that have been around for longer are going to have a greater influence than people that have been around for a few months. Theres no reason that the members of NS shouldn't have a say in how the site is run. This site wouldn't exist if it weren't for the members!
 
i like that idea. we should have some type of like vote or poll on controversial subjects, letting the members decide. now members wouldnt vote on everything, but it would be pretty cool to let us do something like that. more things like the cult vs. crews poll and just stuff like that only more significant?

we all got banned for doing the same thing that skiierman got away with for another year. every knew he was doing it and just didn't care.
 
well he is banned now, and never getting unbanned. At least we unbanned you guys. Get over it!
 
A say yes, of course thats always been a fairly big part of the way this site is run, acting on how members feel about the site and making changes that the masses think need to be made. Thats one thing, but once you put a rule in place, end of discussion. How about when you guys cracked down on the N bomb a bit, that never would have flown with the members but it wasn't open for discussion. Yeah give us a bit of a say, but we dont run the site.

Like this thread, you guys came out with about as clear cut a rule as you can make, it was never open for debate, this thread has been over since the title.
 
I remember there being many many threads about use of the N-word on the site. I delete any thread I see with a derogatory use of the word (WHICH IS MOST OF THE TIME ITS POSTED!). I believe that members should definitely have a say in the site, but if they are complaining about not being able to use such a derogatory word, I think their opinion gets to be less important.

In this thread, I, personally came out with my own personal policy towards post-whoring because frankly it was fucking ridiculous! NS doesn't have an official post whoring policy, but lets be serious, do you guys really want to come to a forum where every other post is "+1", "your a fag", "hmmm", "cool", etc...if we see someone doing something like THIS:

Crookedboner knew what he was doing, and I, who came online shortly thereafter, knew what he was doing. It was obvious. There were posts talking about how they wanted to see who could have their name on the most posts on the front page. I mean, if you are being that obvious about it, you are asking to get banned. No one on Newschoolers.com is given the right to post whore, sure everyone has the ability to, but at no point in the T.O.S. does it say, "by joining newschoolers.com you have the ability to post useless shit in every thread ever".
