Hey Guys,

I was at the Toronto Ski Show and saw a good deal for a pair of 2010/11 Armada Halos. I have been looking for these skis all over and am super happy I found them.

I really need a good pair of bindings now.

2010/11 Armada Halo Skis 176cm. I am 6ft. and 196 lbs. I would like to centre mount the bindings. I need them to be durable and light. I would like them to be not too expensive.

I was thinking about the Marker Griffons. They have dins up to 13 and aren't too expensive at $229.

But what do you guys think?

All help would be awesome! ++K

I got them for $300 bucks cash at the Gates and Boards booth. I was at the Sign of the skier and they wouldnt drop the price so went to Gates and Boards. Did you get a pair too? at the sign of the skier? I saw a guy walking around with them at the toronto ski show and I ran over to grab a pair.

Definitely not. Keep in mind your going to be running a fairly high DIN. Even though the Markers can go to 13, it is best to stay in the middle of your DIN range. This will help to improve spring life so that the bindings release consistently for as long as possible. This is why you should go with a binding that has a bit higher DIN

no i didn't. I was thinking about it really hard like the whole time I was there but didn't buy them. Kinda regret it now. have fun with them, they look like great skis!

they are really sick! I regretted not getting them last year. I hate the graphic this year and looked everywhere online for them. Couldn't find them anywhere and finally saw some kid at the ski show with them and had to go get them.

Since you're almost 200 lbs I don't think Griffons are the right choice. I've liked Jesters and Look Pivot 14s (same thing as Rossi FKS140). Both of those will be more durable than Griffons.

im 5'10" 190 pounds, and just bought 182 halos. Center mounted them with STH14 bindings

I rock the FKS 140's on mine. Just look through the sell/trade forum here. People sell FKS's all the time and the going price seems to hover around $150. I'd say that's your best bet. Excellent choice on the skis btw.
