if u've ever seen the "radar inforced by aircraft" signs... they arent a joke. i got pulled over the other day rollin into reno from truckee doin 97 in a 65, and was clocked by aircraft.
 
O shit they still do that. My dad said when..........forget his name...............was governor (or something) he banned the cop cars from using radar or something...........because he loved to drive fast. ANd then they started using planes. but I didnt know they still did that.
 
Wow I always thought that was just to scare people. I think that was a like 1 in 500,000 chance though. I can't imagine them flying planes up all the time just for radar.
 
Hell yeah they do that. I use to be a fuel bitch at a small airport and I would refuel CHP helicopters and airplanes all the time. The Airplanes didn't have any radar on them but the helicopters are loaded with instruments and the pilots definetly use it. They're pretty accurate from the air too.
