June or Mammoth

Mammoth. All if june's jumps are "modified tables", which are basically a mix between a real table and a stepdown. Mammoth has more and a bigger park, with more variation.

 
well if you think main park in mammoth is COMPARABLE to gunsmoke than ?!?!?! there both sick junes jumps a definatly there own style but theyre not all "modified tables" gunsmoke had some really poppy jumps reall long smooth landings, mammoth is more reliable though theres always something to ride don't move here though whatever you do......

 
Well, yea mammoth can't compare to Gunsmoke. One thing about june is that everything is always cut perfect, like snow sculpture style. Their grooming of their park is definatly better.

So yea, for pure size, when gunsmoke is running june is where it is at.

I forgot to mention that the pipe at june is the smoothest pipe you will ever ride, and It is almost never icy. Mammoth's pipe can get really hard.

plus at mammoth you can actually do some real skiing. you know....out side the park.

My friend went to mammoth for the park but ended up spending the whole season freeriding there. I guess its the shit

i really like mammoth, and i really liked june mtn. the park (not gunsmoke, but gunsmoke has massive flow as well) has a rediculous amount of flow, and gunsmoke is the best line of jumps ive ever hit. pipe is a work of art too. the only downside to june is to ride gunsmoke, you have to take the sllloow double chair, whereas mammoth you can lap south or main with high speed allll day long.

I like the flow of Sunrise waaaaay better than Main or South Parks at Mammoth. They had between 4 and 6 good jumps, with a selection on each one, all in a row this year. They could do some tweaking and make it soo much better but its already so damn good.

Main Unbound didn't have a flow I liked at all this year. Yeah you get to hit a lot of features but it doesn't have that rhythm.

Definitely a lot of bro brahs in June though, I agree with that and the snowboarder comment for sure.

I'm too much of a pussy to bother with Gunsmoke. It's for the Big Fellers.

 
I definitely wouldn't move to Mammoth. Too isolated. If you are going to relocate just for skiing I'd go to SLC/Park City.

Mammoth is in the middle of NOWHERE. 3hrs to the nearest city which is Reno.

 
Mammoth is isn't too disconnected, and there is plenty there to get by on. Gunsmoke has huge jumps, there were some that you could literally see the lip and landing clearly from over a mile away last year. They are just plain ginormous. check out that trailer that anothermammothpunk posted.

Yeah June's tiny compared to Mammoth. It's still my favorite place.

The backcountry outside June is great.
