Jump Into My Pool Is It Safe

oh fuck yeah man. i jump off my roof all the time into our pool which i only 9 feet i think. even then, ive jumped into an outground pool with like 4 feet of water before. you decelerate so fast you barely even feel hitting the bottom, and often you can banana your body so that it makes it even smoother.

plus...... this..

make sure to put some of this in first

My parents' old house had an inground pool that was about 8.5 feet deep and we jumped off the roof (about 20-25 ft) all the time. Never had a problem. Just don't come up short, then it could get ugly.

go feet first to test it out I'm sure it will be ok. I fell out of tree from 15-20 feet to the ground i didn't break anything but it hurt. i have jumped a 20 barge into 13 ft of water and didn't touch. Take a look at this video.

That video was cool, but it was horrible to watch.

It should have been about 30 seconds but they stretched it out with horrible editing.

haha i know its way to long and they have like 5 gopros to capture the entire thing haha. it shows you can jump from 20 feet into a 3ft deep pool so im sure 10 ft is deep enough for going in feet first.

i was just watching an old tony hawk vid and Bam Margera jumped off a 3rd story into a 3 foot deep pool. just dont miss. RIP Dane Searls.

You need to belly flop, you need less depth the more of your body that hits the surface of the water. Please film and post.

So if you are jumping off a high dive it should be into like 30 ft of water?... we jump off a 43 ft bridge every summer into ~15 ft of water and don't even touch the bottom...

There a few factors you need to think about. Air pressure, your density, and surface area when entering the water. I have not studied enough physics to work it out mathematically.

If an engineer student was here it would be pretty helpful.

Honestly I would say just do it. You can do whatever the fuck you want. YOLO

I can give you the physics of it but yes if you land in a sit down position legs flat you'll be fine it will hurt like hell but better the braking a leg

are you kidding me? of course you can do it. I jumped off a 15 ft bridge over our trout river randomly cause i was hot and the water ended up being no deeper than my thigh. There was a lot of compression once I hit the bottom and it hurt a little but it really wasnt that bad at all

A high dive is 3 meters and the law for having a pool with a high dive says it needs to be at least 13ft they may have change it by now. But I do see your point when I go cliff jumping it is not 55ft of water

Yeah I didn't know how tall a high dive is so I was just spitballin' but you get my point. Rock.'s conjecture that the water should be the same depth as the jump is pretty off.

Huge gainer my buddy did a few years back.. Hes only jumping into like 10ish feet of water so id say your good

I think it's goddamn hilarious that you guys have a little blow up mattress just short of the pool in case he came up short. That should do it.

My favorite cliff jumping spot. but i had a friend who brok his knee cap off that jump, sketchy as fuck i dont think i would ever do it.

I've jumped off a 20 foot bridge into 7 feet of water.. as long as you dont pencil dive you wont hit the bottom.
